Technician

Overview: <p>The North West Company (NWC) is hiring Regulated Pharmacy Technicians for out Northern and NorthMart stores. Bring your community-focused care and pharmaceutical skills to NWC. In your role as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician, you will provide excellence in patient-centered, outcome-focused care by ensuring patient safety through accuracy and quality of product preparation and release. Responsibilities: <h3>&bull; Compliance with federal and provincial regulatory laws, ensure the accuracy of drug and personal health information in the patient record;</h3> <h3>&bull; Fill prescriptions, and ensure the accuracy of the drug preparation;</h3> <h3>&bull; Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic;</h3> <h3>&bull; Performing the final check of the drug preparation;</h3> <h3>&bull; Perform Third Party reconciliation;</h3> <h3>&bull; Maintain inventory control, and;</h3> <h3>&bull; Maintain supplies and perform clerical organization.</h3>
Requirements: <h3><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience</strong>:</h3> <h3>&bull; Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with Provincial Licensing College;</h3> <h3>&bull; Successful completion of both written and practical PEBC Qualifying exam;</h3> <h3>&bull; Successful completion of Provincial Jurisprudence exam;</h3> <h3>&bull; Experience with Pharmacy software programs, and must have experience with Kroll;</h3> <h3>&bull; Ability to work under minimal supervision, and;</h3> <h3>&bull; Must be able to communicate in English</h3> <h3>&nbsp;</h3> <h3><strong>Reports to:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pharmacist Manager</h3> <h3>&nbsp;</h3> <h3><strong>A competitive salary is being offered along with opportunities to learn, develop and advance throughout the organization.
