You maximize sales and profitability by assisting the Store Manager with all aspects of store operations in accordance to company policies and procedures.<br /><br />As the Store Team Member, you serve and satisfy customer needs, utilize overall product and store knowledge to include merchandise preparation, stock and present, sell merchandise, and cashier.<br /><br /><br /></span>
Responsibilities: <span id="reg5_span_dx9" class="pcrtablefont"><strong>Your Role as Manager in Training:</strong><br /><br />Assist the following objectives:<br /><br />&bull; Achieve budgeted sales, gross profit, and expense lines within each department and total score;<br />&bull; Establish and maintain favorable store and corporate community relations;<br />&bull; Ensure all company policies are followed in all aspects of the organization and all personnel understand/comply with all state and federal rules, regulations,<br />and laws;<br />&bull; Ensure maintenance standards are met for the store and equipment to maximize operating efficiencies and preserve the security of all corporate assets; and<br />&bull; Select, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop all department supervisors and key personnel to ensure their attainment of a high level of productivity.<br /><br /><strong>Your Role as Store Team Member:</strong><br /><br />&bull; Deliver excellent customer service and maximize customer satisfaction with market knowledge, including product sampling and cashiering;<br />&bull; Stock and rotate product in accordance to company standards, re-work sales floor presentations to maximize product appeal, and change prices and place orders as required;<br />&bull; Provide customers and employees a shopping and working environment that is clean, neat, and organized;<br />&bull; Ensure proper trimming techniques are used in perishable departments when product is prepared for sales floor or back stock; and<br />&bull; Maintain communication with supervisor as well as throughout the store.<br /></span>
Requirements: <span id="reg5_span_dx9" class="pcrtablefont"><strong>Manager in Training Desired Skills &amp; Experience:</strong><br />&bull; Strong customer service skills with a record of bottom line and sales results in previous roles;<br />&bull; Minimum of 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, ability to effectively communicate, and interpret a variety of instructions;<br />&bull; Experience with Excel and Outlook, and strong knowledge of grocery and general merchandise operating principles; and<br />&bull; Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.<br /><br /><strong>Store Team Member Desired Skills &amp; Experience:</strong><br />&bull; High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education;<br />&bull; Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a retail environment; and<br />&bull; Strong customer service skills and able to work well under pressure.<br /><br />Relocation: Company paid housing &amp; utilities. <br />**Please note this position requires relocation to Alaska** <br /><br />Positions will be advertised externally; however internal candidates will receive first consideration based on qualifications.
