Overview: <p>The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is looking for an administrative assistant for our NAEYC-accredited school at Dekalb Medical Center.</p> <p>This is a great entry-level position in childcare management for a creative and enthusiastic early childhood educator!</p> <p>Previous experience working in licensed daycare or child care center is required, as is an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field.</p> <p>The ideal candidate also has computer proficiency and superior customer service skills!</p> <p>We are looking for candidates who&nbsp;have the potential to grow in our company and who want to make a difference in their community! &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform administrative duties, including conducting tours with prospective families, and assisting Center Director with&nbsp;day-to-day operations.</li> <li>Converse with parents, staff, and administration to facilitate the best learning environment and overall center experience.</li> <li>Provide classroom coverage for staff breaks, etc., and communicate with children on their level (ability to stoop and bend).</li> <li>Adhere to The Sunshine House Health and Safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of children, parents, and staff.</li> <li>Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.</li> <li>Function in additional capacities as needed to assist the Center Director.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -150px; top: 25.3608px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Prior childcare teaching or daycare management experience.</li> <li>Degree or minimum coursework in Early Childhood Education.</li> <li>Proficient computer skills in a variety of business related programs, including Microsoft Office.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li> <li>The ability to evaluate and solve problems.</li> <li>Must be able to see, hear, and react to emergencies within 50 feet in 15 seconds or less and to stand on feet, bend, stoop for the majority of the day.</li> </ul>
