Overview: The Controller will partner directly with leadership and work closely with all departments, Billing, Clinical, Front of House, and Operations- to ensure the financial backbone of our practice is accurate, scalable, and aligned with our mission of delivering exceptional, personalized care.<br /><br />This role requires someone who is not only meticulous and analytical, but also entrepreneurial, adaptable, proactive, and ready to dive into the details while simultaneously shaping the bigger financial picture.
Responsibilities: Financial Management &amp; Reporting<br />● Oversee the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, including monthly closes and financial statements.<br />● Create, maintain, and optimize financial dashboards that clearly communicate trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for improvement.<br />● Track productivity metrics across Billing, FOH, Clinical, and Telehealth teams in partnership with department leads.<br />● Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.<br />Systems Building &amp; Process Improvement<br />● Develop financial systems, controls, and workflows that support transparency, scalability, and operational excellence.<br />● Implement improved processes for financial tracking, reporting, and accountability.<br />● Collaborate with leadership during a period of transitional growth to design a financial structure that supports long-term organizational goals.<br />Compliance, Audits &amp; Oversight<br />● Lead and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.<br />● Oversee payroll accuracy (whether performed by internal staff or outsourced), ensuring financial alignment and proper documentation.<br />● Monitor spending patterns, vendor relationships, and contract compliance.<br />Cross-Department Collaboration<br />● Partner closely with Billing, Clinical, FOH, and Operations teams to ensure smooth integration of financial data with practice operations.<br />● Provide financial insights that support decision-making, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.<br />● Act as a consultant and resource for team members regarding cost analysis, financial structure, and process efficiencies.<br />Hands-On Execution<br />● Roll up your sleeves to analyze spreadsheets, solve financial discrepancies, and optimize accounting workflows.<br />● Support or oversee bookkeeping and payroll processes as needed, depending on evolving team structure and capability.<br />● Step into new tasks or projects based on strengths, capacity, and organizational need- consistent with our culture of growth and entrepreneurial spirit.
Requirements: ● Proven experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar financial leadership role.<br />● Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.<br />● Comfort developing dashboards and presenting financial insights to leadership.<br />● Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to zoom out and think strategically.<br />● Experience building systems in a growing or evolving organization is preferred.<br />● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br />● Proficiency with accounting software, reporting tools, and spreadsheets.<br />● Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.<br />● Alignment with TWC&rsquo;s core values of Growth, Entrepreneurial, Extreme Attention to Detail, Compassion, and Exceeding Expectations.
