Responsibilities: Your responsibilities in this role will include:<br /> <ul> <li>Dispensing and recording medications in the eMAR software system</li> <li>Giving oral medications and/or applying topical ointments as prescribed</li> <li>Assisting with resident care as able throughout your shift</li> <li>Opportunity to build relationships with some pretty amazing people</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>The ideal candidate will:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Have a commitment to Touchmark&rsquo;s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers</li> <li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Have one year of experience working as a Med Tech, or have completed a state-certified Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course</li> <li>Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification</li> <li>Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment</li> <li>Provide assistance and emotional support to residents using the Best Friend&rsquo;s Approach to dementia care</li> <li>Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality</li> <li>Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors</li> <li><strong>MUST be at least 18 years of age</strong></li> </ul>
