Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Reviewing and understanding the unique service plan for every assigned resident each shift.</li> <li>Assisting with bathing, dressing/undressing, and other activities of daily living.</li> <li>Answering call lights as soon as possible to ensure safety of residents.</li> <li>Escorting residents to and from apartments and activities/dining rooms.</li> <li>In our home-like memory care setting, caregivers may prepare the dining room, take orders and serve meals.</li> <li>Taking and documenting vital statistics.</li> <li>Performing medication assistance as directed by licensed staff, as allowed by Boarding Home State Regulations.</li> <li>Getting to know your residents, their backgrounds and histories, and their families!</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Be committed to and passionate about 100% customer satisfaction</li> <li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Have completed a state certified CNA or NAC course, with current certification in the state of Washington. Home Care Aide certification is also acceptable, as is current enrollment in a CNA training school</li> <li>Med Aides must have Nurse Delegation completed and experience as a caregiver and/or Med Aide</li> <li>Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification</li> <li>Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment</li> <li>Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality</li> <li>Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors.</li> </ul>
