The Director of Purchasing will be responsible for optimization of supplier costs, quality and delivery to gain the highest overall value through the supply chain in support of Touchmark Strategic Plans. In the role, you will develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base. The position works alongside the senior management team in contributing to overall business objectives.
Responsibilities: <strong>General Responsibilities:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Create and implement a best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance</li> <li>Develop and manage strong relationships with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level, drawing on Touchmark&rsquo;s strength as a growth company with a substantial future income stream as a means of securing favorable price structures.</li> <li>Manage supply chain initiatives including the coordination of supplier selection on new products.</li> <li>Contribute to the financial objectives of the company by participating in the preparation of budget and savings forecasts, regularly monitor and report data and drivers for 100% on-time and on-target achievement of assigned goals.</li> <li>Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Purchasing activities</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>A commitment to Touchmark&rsquo;s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers</li> <li>Minimum of seven (7) years purchasing and logistical experience in a similar setting.</li> <li>Degree in Business or related field. Five (5) years additional experience in strategic sourcing and logistical concepts may be substituted for the degree.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience in leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership, delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes and systems</li> <li>Analytical skills and business acumen to determine how to best leverage the purchasing of all business categories to include; Food and Beverage, Furniture and Fixtures, Utilities, Operating Supplies and Equipment, Janitorial, Medical Supplies, Health and Fitness, and Automobile Fleet.</li> <li>Ability to research, develop strategies, and implement programs for national account purchasing, GPO&rsquo;s and the like.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Benefits:</strong><br /><br /><br />Touchmark is dedicated to providing the best for our residents, and it all begins with providing the best for our employees.
