Overview: We are currently seeking individuals who specialize in group exercise instruction &ndash; such as yoga, tai chi, Pilates, ZUMBA&reg;, aquatic, or other specialized formats - to join our team as&nbsp;<strong>Group Exercise Instructors</strong>. In this role, you will help plan, design, and lead group exercise classes for aging adults at varying levels of physical ability in our beautiful health and fitness club. You will have the unique opportunity every day to energize and motivate club members &ndash; the opportunity to be an ally, a friend, and a giver.
Responsibilities: <p><span data-darkreader-inline-color="">Club membership is open to Touchmark residents and employees, as well as adults aged 50 and over in the greater community, and members enjoy a wide range of activities and classes that can positively affect age-related conditions and encourage lifelong health and wellness. All programs are tailored to individual levels of ability, skill, and personal fitness goals. A long list of&nbsp;amenities are also offered, including an indoor heated pool, a group exercise studio,&nbsp;one-on-one personal training, a fully-equipped fitness studio, massage therapy, and a NeuroCom Balance Master system.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span data-darkreader-inline-color="">If you are enthusiastic and passionate about helping senior adults achieve and maintain new levels of physical fitness; if you are looking for the opportunity to be part of a&nbsp;<em>team</em>&nbsp;of like-minded fitness professionals &ndash; not just another contract employee; and if you are serious about providing five-star hospitality to the people you serve, then we want to talk to you about this exciting new opportunity!</span></p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Have a commitment to Touchmark&rsquo;s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers</li> <li>Current certification through an accredited organization (such as ACE, AFAA, NCSF, NASM, ACSM, or AEA) and/or certification specific to the format you teach is required</li> <li>A genuine interest in working with adults (age 50+) to help them achieve their physical fitness goals</li> <li>At least five years&rsquo; experience instructing group exercise classes in the format that your certification is in</li> <li>At least five years&rsquo; experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations</li> <li>A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality</li> <li>Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or be willing to obtain upon hire</li> </ul>
