The chosen candidate will develop and deliver financial reports by translating hard numbers into factual information using internal reporting, collaborating with team members, evaluating complex financial issues and recommending solutions to guide future organizational decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul type="disc"> <li>Partner with business leaders to support development and preparation of long-term financial models, focusing on both Professional and Insurance service revenues and leading development of the appropriate models to improve business planning, and other analysis to drive new initiatives.</li> <li>Explain business outcomes (actual results) in a detailed fashion differentiating between guaranteed cost/risk sharing plans along with participation and enrollee specific drivers.</li> <li>Develop and build forecasts utilizing driver based inputs (enrollees, participation, cost trends etc).</li> <li>Analyze recent performance and trends including monitoring and developing relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), to measure and monitor returns.</li> <li>Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment across the business and create strong partnerships with business leaders in functional groups to provide advice regarding&nbsp;financial implications of business activities and make recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance.</li> <li>Identify and implement financial planning and analysis initiatives to simplify the process but will facilitate scale as the business achieves growth.</li> <li>Organize and evaluate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and root causes.</li> <li>Provide a framework to support new verticals/product and/or strategic initiatives evaluation.</li> <li>Assist with&nbsp;the development of the annual and long range plans, including participation in the design of the annual planning framework, helping to lead the business and financial plan development, strengthen the business forecasting, reviewing and participating in setting company objectives and action items for revenues and expenses.</li> <li>Participate in merger and acquisition activities, including modeling and due diligence.</li> <li>Serve as a finance business partner and contributor to profitable growth strategies.</li> <li>Identify information gaps and bridge gaps through process design, and re-engineering as it relates to reporting and forecasting.</li> <li>Facilitate the development of the management reporting framework to support the growth of the company and its strategic and operational segments, including the design of new reports to provide innovative information to manage the business more effectively.</li> <li>Develop and maintain financials models with sensitivity analyses around internal and external factors ensuring they support overall business objectives.</li> <li>Work with senior management, financial leadership, vertical leaders, and business units to assess, identify, and prioritize performance reporting needs including key metrics.</li> <li>Prepare executive level presentations and communications with logical reasoning and data support.</li> </ul> <div>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></div>
Requirements: <strong>The&nbsp;<em>ideal&nbsp;</em>candidate will posses the following:&nbsp;<br /></strong> <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s&nbsp;Degree (B.S.); MBA&nbsp;preferred.</li> <li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).</li> <li>FP&amp;A experience within a health insurance carrier.</li> <li>Increasing experience consistent with in-depth business knowledge; finance and reporting experience (12+ years).</li> <li>Advanced working&nbsp;knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of financial reporting.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;products and concepts relating to the insurance industry.</li> <li>Experience building&nbsp;and establishing&nbsp;constructive and cooperative working relationships and open lines of communication.</li> <li>Experience manage data to be accurate, timely and accessible.</li> <li>Experience collaborating&nbsp;with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal; escalate issues when necessary.</li> <li>Possesses a high degree of financial acumen and awareness of financial responsibility.</li> <li>Ability to communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize interests of the company and community during decision-making.</li> <li>Experience building&nbsp;and maintaining&nbsp;professional networks and channels of communication inside the organization.</li> <li>Possesses a high attention to detail.</li> <li>Experience completing&nbsp;tasks by taking decisive or quick action.</li> <li>Possesses a motivational, inspirational and enthusiastic approach to team leading and management.</li> <li>Experience utilizing&nbsp;insightful judgment and subject matter expertise to make sound decisions.</li> <li>Possesses creativity and alternative, open thinking to generate and support new or better ways of doing things.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</li> </ul>
