Overview: <p>The<strong>&nbsp;Financial Analyst</strong>&nbsp;provides business and financial advice to the senior management team through various budgeting and analysis functions.&nbsp;The position is responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports and analyses for assigned departments and/or member(s) of the management team and serves as liaison to assist them with all their financial needs.&nbsp;The position provides regular support to other Finance-related functions, such as the month-end close process.&nbsp;The position assists in analyzing strategic endeavors, new business opportunities, customer pricing and profitability, long-term forecasting, new product ROI, and other ad hoc projects as required.</p> <p><em><strong>&nbsp;</strong></em></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Act as liaison and provide financial support to assigned department(s) or member(s) of the management team.</li> <li>Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.</li> <li>Report on actual financial results against targets, provide analysis of variances, and assist in guidance on future trends.</li> <li>Provide support to other Finance departments and functions such as, but not limited to: <ul> <li>Accounting during month end close process;</li> <li>Risk during contract renegotiations.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Provide analysis of client profitability and recommendations on pricing.</li> <li>Assist in automation of repetitive data aggregation/manipulation tasks to enable greater focus on value add analysis.</li> <li>Assist in ongoing improvement of company's financial, planning, and business intelligence systems.</li> <li>Assist in enabling strong cross-functional communications and enhanced efficiencies by leading teams through process improvement efforts.</li> <li>Assist in ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as required.</li> <li>Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>BA or BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.</li> <li>3 to 5 years corporate financial analysis experience.</li> <li>Working knowledge of MS Office applications having advanced level Excel, Intermediate PowerPoint, and basic Word.</li> <li>Good presentation skills with the ability to work closely with senior management.</li> <li>High level of integrity.</li> <li>Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, Essbase and/or Hyperion Planning a plus.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills.</li> <li>Experience in financial services and/or insurance industry preferred.</li> <li>Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.</li> <li>Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.</li> <li>Ability to meet minimal travel obligations: 0-10%.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
