Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible&nbsp;<u>for supporting</u>&nbsp;purchasing activities of Project Managers including bulk buy-out, materials for fabrication shops, sheet metal commodities, and locating and purchasing uncommon specialties.</li> <li>Develop and maintain tracking database for vendor stock quantities, backorders, returns credits, and rebates.</li> <li>Assist Project Managers to establish, maintain, and issue blanket purchase orders.</li> <li>Assist Project Managers with issuing purchase orders, invoice approvals, commodities monitoring and alerts, material forecasting.</li> <li>Provide support to Estimating team by request bids.</li> <li>Coordinate material delivery arrangements and material returns.</li> <li>Provide pricing support for change orders via bid requests.</li> <li>Place and track field orders.</li> <li>Price and submit requisitions, buy out procurement.</li> <li>Locate, evaluate, and establish local and national vendor relationships &ndash; prepare monthly vendor scorecard.</li> <li>Maintain quarterly/yearly sales reports for factory rebates.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Management Responsibility:&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /></strong><br />Supervisor&nbsp;&ndash; responsible for hiring, performance management and pay administration for subordinates.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br /><strong>Supervised positions</strong>: Purchasing Assistant.
Requirements: <strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalency required.</li> <li>Coursework related to business administration preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of material/equipment purchasing experience in the construction industry.</li> <li>Past Purchasing Agent experience preferred.</li> <li>Prior experience in role assisting with Project Management or field leadership preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge, skills, and abilities</strong>: <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of procurement/vendor inspection techniques and requirements.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of mechanical construction industry operations practices, processes, and standards.</li> <li>Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.</li> <li>Time-management and organizational skills.</li> <li>High level of financial acumen necessary.</li> <li>Detail-oriented and ability to analyze complex reports.</li> <li>Proficiency with MS Office suite products required &ndash; includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.</li> <li>Proficiency with MS Access database preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Physical and/or travel demands:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong> <ul> <li>There will be travel up to Jonhstown periodically.&nbsp;</li> <li>This position is done in a typical office setting, mostly sitting at a desk. Frequent use of computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.&nbsp; Some standing, bending, and lifting light files is required.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Benefits and Compensation:</strong> <ul> <li>The range for this position has been established at $<span class="modified">24.65 to $34.83</span> and is US Engineering&rsquo;s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting.
