Join us!</p> <p>The Superintendent&rsquo;s primary purpose is to provide on-site administrative and technical management of field related activities on construction project sites.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.</li> <li>Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures and safety program requirements.</li> <li>Responsible for project profitability through field performance and site expenditures.</li> <li>Maintain intimate knowledge of the scope(s) of work for the subcontracts under their jurisdiction, as well as a general knowledge of the overall scope of the project.</li> <li>Assist the Project Manager with change management, developing RFIs, and ensuring that the project maintains its established schedule.</li> <li>Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets and three-week look-aheads.</li> <li>Oversee the overall installation of mechanical work.</li> <li>Consistently maintain daily logbook and require the same of Foremen.</li> <li>Negotiate field agreements favorable to U.S. Engineering.</li> <li>Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers as needed.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Job Scope:</strong><br /> <br />The scope of work for the Superintendent may vary; from one large project to several smaller projects.<br /><br /><strong>Management Responsibility:</strong><br /> <br />Supervisor &ndash; responsible for hiring, performance management and pay administration for subordinates.
Requirements: <strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency required.</li> <li>Prefer Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in construction science management or mechanical engineering. Equivalent combination of mechanical field and leadership experience considered.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years&rsquo; verifiable experience as a Mechanical Superintendent.</li> <li>At least 3 years' experience in large commercial construction.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge, skills, and abilities</strong>: <ul> <li>Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes and standards.</li> <li>Proven leadership and supervisory skills.</li> <li>Team player.</li> <li>Able to delegate.</li> <li>Detail oriented.</li> <li>Effective communicator.</li> <li>Basic level of business acumen.</li> <li>Ability to proactively identify potential problems and solutions.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Physical and/or travel demands:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong> <ul> <li>Job is performed on project site.&nbsp;</li> <li>Infrequent travel is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Physical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting, etc. Position includes sitting and standing, use of telephone, keyboard, and computer monitor.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Benefits and compensation:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The range for this position has been established at&nbsp;$55.70/hour - $78.67/hour and is US Engineering Innovations good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.</li> <li>Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck.
