Principal

Overview: The Principal is a Firm leader who has mastered the skills and requirements of the manager role and has demonstrated a capacity to take on greater responsibilities.&nbsp; The Principal may either be a subject matter expert or client service expert. Responsibilities: 1. Experience with A133 audits and 990 <br />2. Ability to develop different programs <br />3. Supervise and coordinate audit activities of staff <br />4. Provide thorough review of staff work product while providing appropriate feedback<br />5. Calculate appropriate budgets and manage actual time in relation to budgets <br />6. Develop client presentations and participate in bids for opportunities for new clients <br />7. Assist in the preparation of management reports and other statutory filings <br />8. Develop ideas to assist client with operational and internal control opportunities <br />9. Examine and analyze client accounting records to determine financial status and prepare financial statements <br />10. Inspect items in clients accounting system to determine if GAAP was followed in recording transactions <br />11. Make formal recommendations when applicable regarding imposing operations and financial positions of clients <br />12. Develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities <br />13. Develop strong technical research skills, including use of electronic tools <br />14. Other duties as assigned
Requirements: 1. Bachelors in Accounting, Masters preferred <br />2. 8 plus years in relevant position, auditing Non-Profit clients <br />3. Must have CPA License <br />4. Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred <br />5. Must maintain required CPE credits annually 6. May need other industry or specialization certification for specific positions
