The Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting account managers in the sales of commercial and multi-family HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general contracting by providing general inside support. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collaborate with account managers to understand customer needs and to provide sales support.</li> <li>Keep detailed notes on customer conversations.</li> <li>Create and send price quotations/proposals for customers based on customer request or information from account manager.</li> <li>Create work orders as requested by account manager</li> <li>Verify pricing and accuracy of quotes with account manager.</li> <li>Check the status of equipment orders.</li> <li>Interact with customers regarding inquiries about products, costs, etc.</li> <li>Resolve complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible or transfer to appropriate manager.</li> <li>Attend company training and weekly sales meeting.</li> <li>Maintain updated product literature and price lists.</li> <li>Keep accurate and current order logs.</li> <li>Run timely reports to close out work orders.</li> <li>Work closely with department managers and dispatch team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Knowledge / Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Education/Experience &ndash; Associate&rsquo;s Degree or higher preferred or 2-4 years of work experience. Prefer knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC.</li> <li>Clerical &ndash; Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and records, and other office procedures.</li> <li>Software &ndash; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook. Strong computer skills are a must.</li> <li>Communication &ndash; Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers.</li> <li>Organization &ndash; must be organized and have a systematic method of performing tasks.</li> <li>Customer Oriented &ndash; Ability to take care of the customer needs while following company procedures. Ability to effectively build relationships with customers.</li> <li>Time Management &ndash; Ability to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li> </ul>
