Full-Time

Overview: <p>United Road has a full-time position for a professional recruiter who will be based in our National Sales Center located in Livonia, Michigan. This position is responsible for staffing our sales center with phone-based sales agents along with dispatchers, terminal staff and corporate office positons.&nbsp; Success in this position will require conducting job fairs and attending various hiring events, mostly local. The ideal candidate will be professional in demeanor and appearance, energetic, motivated and have excellent communication and organizational skills. This position reports to the Corporate Recruiting Manager.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Seek potential employees, as needed, for our National Sales Center, Corporate office roles and terminals.</li> <ul> <li>Source candidates, schedule phone screens and interviews as needed.</li> <li>Use job boards to post positons and market current openings.</li> <li>Make regular and consistent follow-up calls to identified candidates</li> <li>Seek and follow direct leads from current employee base and any other appropriate means</li> </ul> <li>Plan and execute job fairs and hiring activities outside of the National Sales Center or General Office.</li> <li>Ensure all candidates are matched against URS qualifications and are a good match culturally for our company.</li> <li>Collect all necessary items in the application process (including application, authorization of background checks, past employment verification, etc).</li> <li>Manage offer process including salary recommendations, offer letter generation, and offer negotiations, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience</li> <li>Conduct orientation and process new hire paperwork for individuals hired in sales center.</li> <li>Order and review all background checks.</li> <li>Schedule interviews for candidates with key decision makers as needed, or hire directly for work in the National Sales Center</li> <li>Accountable to achieve quotas</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Recruiting experience is mandatory, and transportation recruiting experience is preferred but not necessary.</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred but not required.</li> <li>Must be able to build relationships and form bonds of trust with applicants and hiring managers.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Great attention to detail and ability to follow processes.</li> <li>Need strong organizational skills.</li> <li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li> <li>Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.</li> </ul>
