Overview: <p>The Terminal Manager will provide leadership and direction to the personnel domiciled at a terminal of approximately 1 to 25 employees and contractors who support, coordinate and deliver a large volume of vehicles per year. This role is accountable for the terminal&rsquo;s revenue, day-to-day operations, staff management, customer communication and satisfaction, safety and regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance and inventory. The position will work closely with regional and corporate leaders, customers, vendors, professional car haulers, and other internal employees. This particular position will also focus on identifying, securing, and growing the terminals local contractual business to increase revenue and profits.&nbsp; Both the operational and sales functions of this position are critical for both the growth of the terminal and for the company to maintain a competitive edge and maximize profitability.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure proper staffing of terminal to fulfill all necessary work</li> <li>Direct the duties of the staff and supervision of the terminal</li> <li>Operate terminal efficiently by analyzing operating costs, equipment utilization,&nbsp;and revenue</li> <li>Ensure the efficient and on-time delivery of freight; effectively problem solve customer and delivery issues</li> <li>Build and maintain positive and profitable customer and vendor relationships</li> <li>Respond to emergency situations</li> <li>Advocate and maintain a strong commitment to safety; oversee all safety requirements for terminal including Hours-Of-Service and all DOT requirements, worker injury reports, and accidents</li> <li>Oversee the recruiting, hiring, performance management, goal setting, disciplining and coaching of all drivers and employees at the terminal</li> <li>Gather and disseminate information to regional and corporate leadership as it relates to staffing, inventory, budget, revenue and operational risks</li> <li>Establish local procedures to ensure the safety and productivity of all stakeholders</li> <li>Ensure all purchasing and accounts payables are handled in accordance with company policy</li> <li>Ensure all company and OO equipment meet regularly scheduled PM intervals to help ensure maint costs stay within monthly budget.</li> <li>Review all CSA violations and discipline drivers in accordance with standard directives from the Safety Dept and/or Regional Manager</li> <li>Ensure all OEM inventories are accurately reflected in OVISS, and promptly resolve any discrepancies.</li> <li>Actively seek means of growing revenues or increasing operational efficiencies to improve profitability of the terminal and to grow the business in size and scope</li> </ul>
