Responsibilities: <p class="p1">An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following essential job functions, duties and responsibilities. These examples are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed by an employee assigned this classification and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed in this position.</p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li3">Performs general administrative duties for the Water &amp; Sewer Department including customer service, record keeping, analysis, data entry, and other administrative tasks.</li> <li class="li3">Answers telephone, greets customers, directs visitors to the appropriate person or department.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp; </span>Hand out and receive filings and applications from residents and visitors for Building, Planning, Public Services, and Water and Sewer Department.</li> <li class="li4">Acts as a representative in relaying information to other employees and the public, answers questions and resolves complaints in person, by telephone and /or electronic or other written communication regarding utility operations and procedures.</li> <li class="li4">Provides for the resolution of complaints and service requests related to the metering operations and customer service office.</li> <li class="li3">Performs financial tasks such as preparing vouchers, purchase orders, getting quotes, maintaining inventory lists, ordering supplies, maintaining records, recording data, and other related tasks.</li> <li class="li3">Maintains filing systems; assists in preparation of departmental correspondence, publications, and organization of events.</li> <li class="li3">Assists in preparing various monthly, quarterly, or other reports as required by the Department.</li> <li class="li3">Performs miscellaneous duties such as preparing and/or issuing letters, agendas, licenses, permits or other tasks as designated by the Director or their designee.</li> <li class="li4">Supports management priorities, new policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations</li> <li class="li4">Observes safety rules and regulations</li> <li class="li3">Operates computers and other office equipment.</li> <li class="li5">Assists in keeping applicants, consultants and department staff updated on various meetings and communications.</li> <li class="li3">Assists in the coordination of schedules, ongoing studies, and programs requiring interdepartmental participation.</li> <li class="li3">Assists other departments within the Municipal Services Department as assigned.</li> <li class="li3">May serve as recording secretary for various commissions and committee meetings such as the Water &amp; Sewer Commission, and/or other committees, boards, and authorities as assigned.</li> <li class="li3">Must become familiar with the general provisions of the Township&rsquo;s Water &amp; Sewer Department and related ordinances.</li> <li class="li3">Must maintain compliance with the Township Employee Manual, Township Ethics Policy, and all other policies as adopted.</li> <li class="li3">Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.</li> <li class="li5">Required to be available to perform duties for operation problems, storms, power outages and other emergencies deemed necessary by management after normal working hours, weekends and holidays.</li> <li class="li5">Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director or his/her designee.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p class="p1">The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions, duties and responsibilities of the position.</p> <p class="p1">Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li2">Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
