Overview: <p>Volunteers of America Minnesota is a nonprofit health and human services organization that annually serves more than 25,000 children, adolescents and their families, older adults, students, persons with disabilities and special needs, and adults completing incarceration. Since 1896, we have helped people gain self-reliance, dignity, and hope.</p> <p>The primary responsibility of the role is to assure each resident&rsquo;s clinical needs are met and the individual treatment plan is adhered to by the assigned therapist and unit treatment team. This comes in the form of providing individual and family therapy, as well as providing leadership and psychoeducation to a group of residential counselors.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide regular therapy sessions 14+ hours a week</li> <li>Involve families in treatment planning</li> <li>Provide clinical direction to the treatment team</li> <li>Develop comprehensive treatment plans for residents&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead treatment reviews&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate consultation with psychiatrist and providers</li> <li>Arrange for the provision of services and referrals as necessary</li> <li>Facilitate DBT skills group at least one time per week</li> <li>Collaborate on overall operation assessments</li> <li>Meet affirmative action goals established by the organization while maintaining a work environment that respects and supports cultural competence and proficiency</li> <li>Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations<br />Participate in on-call rotation with fellow clinical team members to provide support/guidance via phone to direct care staff outside of business hours</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;communicate effectively, both orally and in writing</li> </ul>
