Overview: <ul> <li>Demonstrates awareness of budgetary restraints as it relates to program and staff issues and adheres to program budgets.</li> <li>Regularly audits program files and other records to ensure compliance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines.</li> <li>Provides supervision and training to staff.</li> <li>Routinely provides new employee orientation and training.</li> <li>Participates in On-Call rotation as assigned.</li> <li>Oversees the development and monitoring of resident activities</li> <li>Ensures the group home properties are professionally maintained</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervises Program Management, Program Lead Staff and Direct Care Staff of all programs.</li> <li>Awareness of governmental regulations concerning the agency. Displays an awareness of rules and regulations as pertains to job responsibilities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrates an understanding of role as a supervisor in the overall structure of Volunteers of America of Minnesota and Wisconsin.</li> <li>Maintains a good working relationship with those supervised.</li> <li>Regularly monitors assigned facilities to ensure compliance with fire, safety, and health standards as well regulatory compliance at all programs in the region assigned.</li> <li>Ensures client records are maintained according to company standards and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Provides support to program management with attendance at meetings as appropriate.</li> <li>Assists in recruiting and hiring Program Staff as assigned.</li> <li>Ensures that the annual resident satisfaction survey process is completed and monitored.</li> <li>Maintains regular schedule of program supervision.</li> <li>Regularly reviews documentation and completes necessary follow up regarding employee notes, resident related documentation, and reports.</li> <li>Regularly audits documentation of medications, assessments, and care plans for accuracy and thoroughness.</li> <li>Assures program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPPA privacy and security regulation.</li> <li>Provides support to program management for the progressive disciplinary process.</li> <li>Attends meetings and trainings as assigned.</li> <li>Participates in the investigation process as assigned.</li> <li>Acts as back-up to other Regional Managers/Associate Directors.</li> <li>Understands program participants&rsquo; program objectives and program participants&rsquo; written plans.</li> <li>Willing to adapt to program changes as depicted in consumer programming or agency policies.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>Communication</strong></p> <ul> <li>Communicates professionally with supervisor and those being supervised.</li> <li>Acts as liaison with referral sources related to programming and behavioral supports.</li> <li>Works directly with program managers, residents, guardians, case managers, and other involved individuals regarding service issues.</li> <li>Routinely works with the program managers/leads on issues involving health, safety and overall progress in the program.</li> <li>Acts as a support and resource for Program Management Staff.</li> </ul> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>Clinical Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Completes agency documentation and forms reliably and accurately following established timelines.</li> <li>Involved in the development of program plans.</li> <li>Communicates program concerns, complications and needed improvements.</li> <li>Monitors on-site documentation.</li> <li>Verifies/approves program management payroll records.</li> </ul> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>Crisis Intervention</strong></p> <ul> <li>Uses professional and objective standards in dealing with conflicts.</li> <li>Provides crisis intervention and on-call assistance as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Works under moderate direction.</li> <li>Supervises others: Program Managers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Decision Making Authority/Self-Initiative:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policy/procedure.</li> <li>Carries out major assignments in conducting the operation of the business.</li> <li>Performs work that affects the business operations to a substantial</li> <li>Hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other decision in employee status, or his/her recommendations regarding such are given particular weight.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Professional relationships to be maintained:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Co-workers, program participants, consumer&rsquo;s families, case managers, health care professionals.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Other Job Functions Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Cooperatively works with other Volunteers of America staff to ensure overall company goals and objectives are met.</li> <li>May be required to transport residents utilizing either personal or company vehicle.</li> <li>May be required to travel as assigned.</li> <li>Writes and/or Reviews Behavior Support Plans as assigned by Associate Director.</li> <li>Participates in development of new residential service programming as assigned.</li> <li>Maintains CPI Instructor Certification and completes CPI certification for staff as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>This exempt position starts at a salary of $46,912 per year.&nbsp;</p>
