Part-Time

Overview: <ul> <li>Somali or Oromo language proficiency is highly desired.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide social work services, including advocacy, information and assistance, and case&nbsp;management, to secure services and problem resolution for residents and program participants&nbsp;of assigned buildings to assist people to live as independently as possible.</li> <li>Together with supervisor, evaluate and adjust services in the buildings as needed to ensure best&nbsp;outcomes for program participants and residents.</li> <li>Outreach to individuals and groups within assigned buildings to ensure that residents and&nbsp;potential program participants are aware of available services.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Interpret and promote other VOA services and community programs to residents so that they&nbsp;are knowledgeable about resources available to them.</li> <li>Provide group services to residents to meet identified needs.</li> <li>Maintain case file documentation to ensure that professional standards of documentation are&nbsp;followed, and maintain program participant medical information, financial records, and personal<br />information in a confidential manner.</li> <li>Collaborate with other VOA services and community professionals to ensure that a wide network&nbsp;of resources is available for high-rise program participants.</li> <li>Participate in case of review sessions on a regular basis to help guide and strengthen social work&nbsp;skills.</li> <li>Participate in training opportunities to maintain and improve professional social work skills.</li> <li>Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA&nbsp;privacy and security regulations.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Works under moderate supervision.</li> </ul>
