Full-Time

Overview: <ul> <li>Builds and maintains rapport with residents</li> <li>Medication administration and audits</li> <li>Perform Urinalysis test and breathalyzer</li> <li>Defuses disruptive behavior by verbal interventions.</li> <li>Informs and explains RRC rules to residents.</li> <li>Monitors residents, watching closely for unusual behavior, improper conduct, or signs of conflict.</li> <li>Monitor visits between residents and personal visitors.</li> <li>Searches residents, by pat method, to detect and confiscate contraband or unapproved items.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Searches resident living quarters, recreational areas, visiting areas, and other areas in buildings or on the grounds for contraband and unapproved items.</li> <li>Conducts security checks of the facility.</li> <li>Communicates with other staff and Case Manager to inform about resident behaviors, incidents, and/or to request assistance.</li> <li>Performs head counts to visually ensure the presence of all residents.</li> <li>Checks IDs to ensure only authorized persons enter or leave the facility.</li> <li>Processes new admissions and discharges.</li> <li>Reads and writes narrative reports describing events that have happened, such as confidential reports, incident reports, disciplinary reports, special observation reports, etc.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Ability to pass Federal background check</li> <li>Driving records may not contain more than&nbsp;<strong>two (2)</strong>&nbsp;moving violations and/or suspensions, withdrawals or revocations within the past&nbsp;<strong>three (3)</strong>&nbsp;years.</li> <li>Candidates may not have any of the following convictions within the past ten (10) years:</li> <li>DWI/DUI</li> <li>Careless or Reckless Driving</li> <li>Inattentive Driving</li> <li>Open Bottle</li> <li>Leaving the scene of an accident</li> <li>Committing a felony while operating a motor vehicle</li> <li>Refusing to comply with implied consent</li> <li>Violating state or local law&nbsp;<strong>including parking violations</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Male applicants encouraged to apply</li> <li>Experience in Corrections and or Social Services</li> <li>Coursework in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement</li> </ul>
