Full-Time

Overview: <ul> <li>Promote and assists in the development of a wholesome and therapeutic environment</li> <li>Apply job knowledge to unit duties and tasks</li> <li>Support and implement individual treatment plans and programs</li> <li>Plan and participate in all recreational and educational programming for residents</li> <li>Provides life skills training and management as directed by the needs of the program participants&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide medication administration to residents</li> <li>Work within and support the agency's treatment philosophy</li> <li>When required, drive a program participant to events in the organization's van</li> <li>Observe, report, and document information regarding resident behaviors and actions</li> <li>Support and contribute to effective communication among team members, program participants, families and other outside professionals.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assure situation assessment and interpretation is responsive to individual program participant needs</li> <li>Exercise good judgement when responding to program participant's needs</li> <li>Create a safe, therapeutic atmosphere on the unit</li> <li>Interfaces appropriately and professionally with program participant families and other outside professionals</li> <li>Assists in the planning, development and implementation of individual program plans</li> <li>Provide a healthy and appropriate model for residents to emulate</li> <li>Participate in a work culture that is healthy and inclusive</li> <li>Assures proper medical care is provided as needed for residents</li> <li>Well-being checks performed at least every 15 minutes or as designated&nbsp;</li> <li>When necessary perform restrictive holds</li> <li>Respond appropriately, as prescribed by program, to crisis situations as they occur</li> <li>Understand and apply principles of behavior management, as determined by program</li> <li>Attend weekly meetings and supervision as needed for facility needs and licensure&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to work regularly scheduled working hours and overtime when needed</li> <li>Strong emotional intelligence and resiliency</li> <li>Compassion for individuals dealing with mental health concerns</li> <li>Clear verbal and written skills</li> <li>Must be motivated and willing to learn</li> <li>Any other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Required</li> <li>Must be 21 years of age or older&nbsp;</li> <li>A current and valid Driver's license with minimal violations on record</li> <li>Experience with adolescents in residential/hospital setting preferred</li> </ul>
