Overview: <p>Our manufacturing facility in Etobicoke, ON is hiring for a&nbsp;<strong>Production Supervisor - Leader,</strong>&nbsp;who will provide manufacturing front-line leadership and deliver results. Supervisors - Leaders are responsible for taking ownership in their area of responsibilities for leading, motivating and developing front-line employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results. This is done through enhancing teamwork, effective communications, actively listening to employees, and driving change. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensure teams follow safe work practices. Address unsafe working conditions and any team member safety concerns. Complete thorough incident investigations and develop corrective actions to appropriately reduce or eliminate risk. Conduct workplace inspections and audits and address risk. Drive a culture of zero tolerance with LOTO and other lifesaving procedures.</li> <li>Conduct workplace inspections and audits and be proactive to address potential issues.</li> <li>Provide orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient workforce. Assign and oversee formal training and sign off on completed training requirements.</li> <li>Ensure product quality and food safety requirements are met through verification of quality checks and lot tracking per HACCP plan.</li> <li>Ensure the required equipment, materials, supplies and manpower are available.</li> <li>Provide leadership necessary to ensure the team meets or exceeds targets.</li> <li>Lead optimization of production equipment and processes needed to meet and exceed downtime and waste targets.</li> <li>Establish and sustain a positive and cooperative working environment through effective communication with all employees.</li> <li>Provide effective, timely and fair performance and disciplinary feedback to team members and document as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in manufacturing environment, &amp; minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in a Lead Hand or Supervisory role.</li> <li>Experience with OSHA regulations, HACCP and Food GMPs.</li> <li>A good grasp of inventory management (cycle counting, materials management, etc.).</li> <li>Conduct work with integrity, abiding and upholding the Code of Conduct and Company Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Courage and Growth).</li> <li>Act, react and interact with respect and regard for others.</li> <li>Ability to anticipate what needs to be done &amp; commits to take ownership to ensure it gets done.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to multitask and work with urgency in a fast-paced production environment.</li> <li>Must be an effective communicator who inspires and motivates and creates an environment for open and trusting 2-way communication with all levels in the organization.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>What is the recipe for a great career at Wonderbrands?<br /></u></strong><u><br /></u>Wonderbrands, is a leading Canadian bakery with 140 years of experience in baking packaged breads.
