Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide hands-on leadership over a production shift within the plant to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time in a fast-paced food production environment.</li> <li>Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among team members.</li> <li>Hold pre-shift meetings and provide feedback to Team Leaders and Production Manager.</li> <li>Be responsible for leading the production team on one or more production lines.</li> <li>Ensure that production schedules are met and resolve any issues that may arise.</li> <li>Coordinate schedules, products and labor of different departments to ensure production runs smoothly in the factory.</li> <li>Verify that appropriate methods and procedures are used and that quality, safety and environmental standards are respected.</li> <li>Lead, mentor and train other team members as needed.</li> <li>Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing company standards and conducting regular inspections.</li> <li>Use the SAP system to record all production information and help achieve production goals.</li> <li>Assist other supervisors in ensuring that key performance indicators are achieved daily.</li> <li>Follow and apply all good manufacturing practices and safety procedures.</li> <li>Other responsibilities may be added to better meet business needs.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>University or college degree in a related field.</li> <li>Proven leadership ability; ability to interact easily with others and lead and motivate a team to meet established deadline requirements.</li> <li>Accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to detect the presence of a quality problem.</li> <li>Excellent relational, organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently with little supervision or distraction.</li> <li>Flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights and weekends as needed.</li> <li>Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, risk analysis and critical control points and the Health and Safety at Work Act, an asset.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>What's the recipe for a great career at Wonderbrands?<br /><br /><br /></em></strong></p> <p>Wonderbrands is a leading Canadian bakery with 140 years of experience baking packaged breads.
