Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Working in the warehouse and inside/outside the freezer, using a stand-up and/or counterbalance forklift and a walk-behind pallet truck.</li> <li>Move the stacks of bread from the shipping area to the trailers using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.</li> <li>Move the empty stacks of bread trays from the trailer to the factory using a hand truck/cart and a forklift.</li> <li>Organize the floor and shipping aisles, sort orders, and load the trailer in the correct order.</li> <li>The job may include periodic work in the freezer (bonus for these hours).</li> <li>Complete all paperwork, including daily forklift inspection and perform food safety checks on the trailer.</li> <li>Available for various shifts throughout the week, including the flexibility to work weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) and holidays as needed.</li> <li>Additional responsibilities can be added to better meet the needs of the business.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Prior experience in a shipping/distribution environment (preferably in the food industry!) is required.</li> <li>Experience and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.</li> <li>Be autonomous and proactive through opportunities to learn and grow, and be the architect of your own career.</li> <li>Forklift license/certification an asset.</li> <li>Knowledge of SAP is an asset.</li> <li>Have a very good understanding of the warehouse's shipping/receiving procedures and equipment.</li> <li>Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
