Overview: <p><strong>NESCO Specialty Rentals is now seeking a Territory&nbsp;Manager</strong></p> <p><br />NESCO Specialty Rentals is a North American leader in the rental and sales of specialized equipment.&nbsp;As an&nbsp;industry leader they&nbsp;provide&nbsp;everything the utility, telecom and rail professional needs to get the job done. NESCO maintains one of the industry&rsquo;s largest rental fleets and service networks in the country. &nbsp;We need you to&nbsp;manage, coach and grow a winning team that values and cares about the customer experience.</p> <p>The position of Territory Manager is responsible for rental and sales of utility equipment from NESCO&rsquo;s fleet through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas.&nbsp; The Territory Manager reaches his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer locations.&nbsp; Maintenance of current customer accounts and obtainment of new accounts is an integral function of this position.&nbsp; The Territory Manager will work with their assigned Sales/Rental Representative and Sales Assistant to efficiently manage all accounts.</p> <p>Individuals who hold this position will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company.&nbsp; The individual will be responsible for having equipment expertise regarding all of NESCO&rsquo;s current product lines and must maintain the ability to effectively pitch to customer&rsquo;s in-person.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Be the sales &ldquo;team leader&rdquo; and maintain the right tempo within the group</li> <li>Conduct the necessary amount of in-person sales presentations to meet quota</li> <li>Emphasize the features and benefits of NESCO&rsquo;s equipment, service and parts</li> <li>Drive large utility equipment vehicles and pull equipment trailers to and from customer locations</li> <li>Perform product demonstrations while on-site at customer locations</li> <li>Continue producing rental and sales revenue from existing customer base</li> <li>Overcome the objections of prospective customers</li> <li>Quote prices and discuss credit terms with customers</li> <li>Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for territory growth</li> <li>Ensure follow-up activities occur by passing leads to assigned Sales Team members</li> <li>Actively manage call and time schedule to efficiently maintain territory accounts</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Update information in the CRM software</li> <li>Produce sales activity reports as directed</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to learn technical material.</li> <li>Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds between workstations and storage.</li> <li>The person in this position needs to constantly move about their designated geographic region visiting client and prospect sites as well as, inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.</li> <li>Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, copy machine, laptop, mobile device and computer printer.</li> <li>The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries about NESCO equipment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.</li> <li>Must be able to observe and identify equipment controls and functionality.</li> <li>Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO.</li> <li>Ability to work without direct supervision.</li> <li>Frequent travel to customer locations is required, with many hours of drive-time expected</li> <li>Travel to and attendance of industry relevant trade shows as necessary</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;5+ Years of utility equipment or industry sales experience</li> <li>Ability to convert prospects into closed sales</li> <li>Professional demeanor and excellent communication capabilities</li> <li>Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques</li> <li>Ability to work with customer relationship management (CRM) software</li> <li>Must keep accurate records within CRM</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Nothing in this job description restricts management&rsquo;s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p> <p>All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to, and will not be discriminated against based on, race, gender, veteran status, disability, or other protected category.
