Responsibilities: <p><strong>Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Mentor staff to encourage quality workmanship.</li> <li>Deliver staff training on Quality Control Specifications.</li> <li>Resolve computer issues and support staff who may have minimal computer experience on the completion of work order submissions.</li> <li>Inspire staff to embrace quality even in the face of pressure to speed up the assembly line.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Quality Assurance &amp; Quality Control</strong></p> <ul> <li>Owns the QA and quality improvement initiatives for all company products and services.</li> <li>Monitor QA systems and advise executive team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze Non-Compliance Reports; track inconsistencies and support the resolution of core problems in the department.</li> <li>Establish and maintain a QA program for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.</li> <li>Conduct risk analyses, verification, validation activities, and formal design reviews.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Certifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.</li> <li>Help build and maintain an ISO:9001 2015 certified Quality Control Program.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Electrical Engineering Technologist (EET) is preferred.</li> <li>Quality Assurance Certificate or Quality Management Certificate is preferred.</li> <li>A combination of education and experience will be considered.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years in a successful leadership position.</li> <li>Experience with internal manufacturing models, such as original design manufacturers (ODM).</li> <li>Familiarity with processes and methodologies such as ISO:9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Design For Manufacturability (DFM), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&amp;R) studies would be ideal.</li> <li>Familiarity with supplier interactions such as: supplier quality audits, new product introduction, and corrective action processes.</li> <li>Strong understanding of manufacturing statistics, such as process capability (Cpk), control charts, Design of Experiments.</li> </ul>
