Overview: <span class="ignore-global-css">Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse the Medication Aide will assist with self administration of routine medications to residents. The Medication Aid will also monitor residents for change in condition of the resident's physical or mental condition and report to the nurse. The Medication Aide will be required to take vitals signs and weights of the residents. Other duties as assigned within in the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide.</span>
Responsibilities: <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Provide routine medications to youth as prescribed in accordance&nbsp;with applicable YBGR policies and procedures, laws, statues, license and /or certification</span><em class="ignore-global-css">.</em></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Monitor&nbsp;youth&rsquo;s physical or mental condition and report to the nurse.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Take vital signs, weights, heights&nbsp;on youth.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Must be able to communicate accurate information and accurately understand information communicated by those individuals.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Must be able to perceive, recognize, and observe clients behavior to include non-verbal cues expressed by the client.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Conditions can be high stress during de-escalation, restraint of physically out of control youth and medical emergency.</span></li> </ol>
