Overview: At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, we count on our Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) to support a trauma-informed environment while providing the highest quality of rehabilitative care to the youth in our care. Our COTA will deliver comprehensive care to adolescents; along the way, demonstrating superior experience, ability, and understanding of rehabilitation and adaptive procedures. Additionally, COTAs with Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch care for their patients with empathy and kindness. We are currently looking to hire a new member to our team - someone whose expertise will bolster our existing procedures and whose passion for patient care is evident.
Responsibilities: <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Review referral and physician orders referring adolescents to occupational therapy.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Interview the team member who referred the client and reviewing the client's chart.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Complete OT evaluation, which includes administering the occupational profile, standardized assessments, unstandardized assessments, and using clinical observation to determine if the client would benefit from OT services after demonstrated proficiency.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">When duly trained, write an evaluation report (in Evolv) and if services are recommended, generate goals and a treatment plan based on the evaluation outcomes.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Provide individual or group-based OT services as prescribed.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Collaborate with the Treatment Team (i.e., attending meetings, responding to e-mail, providing training etc.).</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Provide services in the lodge, if warranted.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Complete YBGR training and maintain competency as required.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Collaborate with the YBGR OTR to assist in the management of FW I students.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Ensure services are best-practice and evidence based.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Complete all documentation (eval, treatment notes, discharge summary, etc.).</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Work with the treatment team to schedule client.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Ensure services are occupation-based and client-centered.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures provided by YBGR.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Maintain a productivity standard to ensure salary is generated/month.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Collaborate with OT to ensure services are provided in accordance with AOTA, ACOTE, Medicaid, MT State OT Practice Acts.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Manage equipment, supplies, and treatment space allocated for OT services at YBGR.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Requirements: <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Education: Successful completion of academic requirements of an educational program for Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant that is accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">21 years old or older.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Previous Professional Experience: must have completed a minimum of six months of supervised fieldwork experience or satisfy any generally recognized past standards that identified minimum fieldwork requirements at the time of graduation.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">License and/or Certification: Obtain and maintain NBCOTA certification and state licensure within 6 months of being hired.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Display regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Good computer/technology skills.
