Overview: <p class="ignore-global-css">Mental Health Workers work directly with youth in the program. Mental Health Workers provide supervised therapeutic services to youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties for the purpose of meeting the goals of each youth&rsquo;s Treatment Plan in a safe and positive environment. Supervision is exercised over several youth on an assigned shift. Because an employee is this position is located in a work environment associated with unstable youth, the work may involve an element of personal danger.</p> <p class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Starting Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$17.12 - $18.63 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant&rsquo;s education and relevant experience.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide quality supervision, care and treatment for the youth by assist in planning direct care/recreational activities and establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with youth</li> <li>Collaborate with youth on individual treatment goals as determined by the youth treatment team and complete activities and document results accurately and timely.</li> <li>Implement the established treatment modality and Participate in the development, implementation and updating of individual treatment, management and discharge plans in collaboration with supervisors and appropriate others.</li> <li>Serve as a facilitator for support groups. Supervise family visits on assigned shifts and monitors youth in all activities and situations.</li> <li>Safely operate personal/lease vehicles for client transport and business-related travel as assigned by your supervisor.</li> <li>Willingness to cook, clean and help provide the supervision of hygiene.</li> <li>Attend staff meetings, engage in supervision and training, contribute to public relations efforts, and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor.</li> <li>Communicate with Program Manager and other staff as needed on progress, problems, etc. as directed and obtain prior approval from Program Manager for special activities and out of town travel.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>21 years old or older</li> <li>Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.</li> <li>Education: High School Diploma</li> </ul> <br />Required Abilities/Skills<br /> <ul> <li>Empathy and Compassion: Ability to empathize with the struggles and emotions of youth experiencing mental health challenges, and to provide compassionate care.</li> <li>Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with youth, their families, and other members of the treatment team to facilitate treatment and support plans.</li> <li>Boundaries and Professionalism: Understanding of professional boundaries and ethical guidelines in mental health care, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy.</li> <li>Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of youth&rsquo;s interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with YBGR requirements.</li> <li>Demonstrate being self-motivated, self-disciplined, and diligent with forward thinking.</li> <li>Demonstrate the ability to think of their team over self and define success collectively rather than individually.</li> <li>The ability to effectively interact and communicate with others.
