Overview: At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, the Program Manager plays a key leadership role by guiding and supporting Mental Health Workers to ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment for youth. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Program Manager collaborates with other leaders to uphold the mission and values of the organization. This role is instrumental in driving progress toward the goals outlined in the strategic plan. Additionally, the Program Manager serves as a primary liaison with external agencies, community partners, and families, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.<br /> <br />Salary Range: $1,960.03 - $2,151.55 bi-weekly. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant&rsquo;s education and relevant experience.<br /> <br />
Responsibilities: <br /><span class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong> The Program Manager provides leadership and supervision to Mental Health Workers and Lead Mental Health Workers, as outlined below:<br /></span><br /> <ul> <li><span class="ignore-global-css">Executes supervisory responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.</span></li> <li><span class="ignore-global-css">Plans, directs, and assigns work duties, ensuring adherence to established schedules.</span></li> <li><span class="ignore-global-css">Oversee the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of staff. Manages performance through evaluations, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when needed.</span></li> <li><span class="ignore-global-css">Ensure staff receive appropriate training and ongoing education. Schedules and leads regular staff meetings.</span></li> <li><span class="ignore-global-css">Effectively leads the team toward achieving goals, including recognizing performance, administering discipline, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.<br /></span></li> </ul> <br /><span class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:</strong></span><br /> <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and guidance to ensure professional training, certification, and adherence to YBGR policies and treatment philosophy.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment that supports youth in achieving their treatment goals.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed, both routinely and on-call.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Manage administrative duties including scheduling, supervision, budgeting, and other tasks as assigned.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Collaborate with the Lodge&rsquo;s Treatment Team, ensuring timely and outcome-focused treatment documentation and implementation.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Build and maintain effective communication and relationships with youth families and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Support agency-wide strategic goals by contributing to individual, departmental, and organizational outcomes. Actively participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Foster constructive and supportive interactions with colleagues across the organization.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Consistently model and uphold the mission and values of YBGR.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Comply with all organizational policies, systems, safety protocols, and procedures.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Proactively identify challenges and seek effective solutions.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Represent YBGR professionally in all external interactions.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Engage in monthly supervision and coaching sessions with the assigned supervisor.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Maintain cultural and socioeconomic awareness of the populations served.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Complete all required training relevant to the role and beneficial to YBGR.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>21 years old or older</li> <li>Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.</li> <li>Education and Experience:</li> <li>an advanced degree in social work or a comparable human service field and two years of relevant experience; or</li> <li>a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social work or a comparable human service field and four or more years of relevant experience.</li> <li>If an internal candidate does not meet the above requirements but has demonstrated competency and potential ability to complete the duties of the position through their work experience with YBGR, they may be considered for the position based on staffing needs.
