<strong>Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, a nonprofit organization, is trusted locally and nationally as a leader in the field of mental health care for children and their families.</strong> <br /><br />Each day, YBGR&rsquo;s employees work with close to 1200 youth throughout Montana who struggle with controlling emotions and behaviors. This role blends compassionate in-home, school-based, and community support with evidence-based interventions to foster the social, emotional, and physical well-being of children. By empowering youth to thrive in their homes, schools, and communities, Family Support Specialists make a lasting difference in daily life and beyond.</span></p> <p class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Working closely with treatment teams, educators, and families, Family Support Specialists craft personalized care plans and deliver tailored support to address challenges, promote positive coping strategies, and create safe, nurturing environments where youth can flourish.<br /><br /></span></p> <p class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Starting Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$19.21 - $21.62 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant&rsquo;s education and relevant experience.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Develop Individualized Plans: Create and implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to the unique needs of each youth.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Direct Youth Support: Provide consistent, therapeutic support in school, home, and community environments in compliance with agency standards.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Collaboration: Partner with treatment teams, supervisors, educators, community stakeholders, and families to ensure comprehensive care and support for youth. Meet with assigned Therapist for weekly case consultation, training, and guidance.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in compliance with agency standards.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Organizational Contribution: Support YBGR&rsquo;s mission and strategic goals by participating in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives and organizational objectives.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Professional Representation: Maintain professional conduct and represent YBGR positively to internal and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Ongoing Development: Participate in regular supervision, professional development, and required training.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support agency operations and client needs.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Must be at least 21 years of age.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Successful completion of fingerprint criminal background check and child abuse registry clearance as required by the State of Montana.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years' human services experience = Bachelor&rsquo;s degree; each year of post-secondary human services education = 1 year of experience).</span></li> </ul> <br class="ignore-global-css" /> <p class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Required Abilities/Skills</strong></span></p> <ul class="ignore-global-css"> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Demonstrated ability to build rapport with youth and families while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and conflict resolution.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a treatment team, including with the assigned school district.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Proficiency in electronic documentation, typing at least 35 words per minute; familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 preferred.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Consistent attendance and reliability in performance of duties.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Sound judgment, ethical decision-making, and the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Will be required to drive company or personal vehicle to other YBGR locations and/or families' homes, schools, and communities to meet with employees, youth, families, or other stakeholders.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Commitment to YBGR&rsquo;s values: Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship.</span></li> <li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certifications.</span></li> </ul>
