Overview: <p><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Scheduled to meet the needs of YBGR may involve evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p> <p><br /><br />Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) Registered Nurses (RNs) play a critical role in supporting the medical and psychiatric well-being of youth in our care. RNs provide direct nursing assessments, dispense medications safely, and assist with the evaluation, treatment, and referral of individual health and psychological concerns. They ensure the implementation of medical treatment plans and maintain clear and accurate medical records. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, aligned with YBGR&rsquo;s core values, and demonstrates clinical expertise, reliability, and a commitment to promoting the health and safety of each child.</p> <p><strong>Starting Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant&rsquo;s education and relevant experience.</p> <ul> <li>Current Montana LNP license range is $23.02 - $25.91 per&nbsp;hour</li> <li>Current Montana RN license range is $31.69 - $35.67 per hour</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <div class="css-13edb3w"> <div class="css-y4nl7a"> <div class="css-kr8vd3"> <div class="css-13edb3w"> <div class="css-1czezeg"> <div> <ul> <li>Assist with the evaluation, treatment, and referral of individual health and psychological concerns of YBGR youth.</li> <li>Provide nursing assessments and required testing per Admission Protocol.</li> <li>Assist with implementation of all medical treatment plans on each youth.</li> <li>Dispense appropriate medications in a safe manner and perform appropriate medical treatments to YBGR youth according to physicians' orders.</li> <li>Provide clear, concise and current documentation for medical/psychiatric services as required in each youth's medical records.</li> <li>Provide direct intervention, obtain physicians' orders, and assess all Special Treatment Procedures and Suicide Precaution in accordance with YBGR policy.</li> <li>Work in collegial manner with the core team members regarding development of patient treatment plans.</li> <li>Obtain informed consents for medications from parents and guardians.</li> <li>Assist with random audits for compliance.</li> <li>Review and recommend changes to Nursing protocols.</li> <li>Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Requirements: <ul> <li>Education:&nbsp;<strong>Required:</strong>&nbsp;Associate Degree in Nursing from accredited nursing program. Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in nursing from accredited nursing program.</li> <li>Previous Professional Experience: <ul> <li>Preferred: One (1) year of professional experience in pediatrics working with patients diagnosed with mental or emotional issues.</li> </ul> </li> <li>License and/or Certification: <ul> <li>License to operate passenger vehicle.</li> <li>Required: Current license as RN or LPN in the state of Montana or compact state.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Competencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): <ul> <li>Ability to competently perform duties of nurse within the appropriate scope of practice for license.</li> <li>Display regular, predictable and reliable attendance at work.</li> <li>Ability to relate and build rapport with youth while serving as a positive role model for the youth.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and flexibility.</li> <li>Excellent active listening skills.</li> <li>Good computer skills and able to quickly learn and use YBGR selected software solutions.</li> <li>Good judgment and decision-making skills.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
