Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Entry Clerk takes entries from owners, trainers, agents or other authorized persons and performs those duties related to assembling all pertinent information and aid in producing an overnight.&nbsp;</li> <li>Use the RTO racing software to input entries into specified races listed for that entry days race card.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures integrity at time of entry by keeping all entries confidential in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength and compliance goals.</li> <li>Promote and maintain all steps of the Red Carpet Customer Service program with each patron and employee you may come in contact with (eye contact, hi - greeting, goodbye as a departure).</li> <li>Clocks and records work out times of horses during training to race a specified distance.</li> <li>Observes signal for official start and activates stopwatch to time work out.</li> <li>Observes horse crossing markers denoting fractional parts and finish line of work outs to note and record time elapsed.</li> <li>Compares recorded results with those obtained by automatic electronic timer and reports differences to Racing Officials.</li> <li>Writes daily report of name of horse and fractional and total time required for each work out to submit to track officials.</li> <li>Stands at the GAP by the racetrack and collects work out cards from horsemen.</li> <li>Immediately reports via radio to the upstairs head clocker horses name, trainer, distance to be worked and any significant markings or colorings to help identify horse being worked.</li> <li>Maintains all work out cards and brings them to the racing office daily to match with Head Clockers work tab.</li> <li>Presents oneself as a Credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.</li> <li>Adhere to all departments/company/racing commission policies and procedures.</li> <li>Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.</li> </ul>

Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.</li> <li>Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li> <li>Must have the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.</li> <li>Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.</li> <li>Must have the ability to write simple correspondence.</li> <li>Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.</li> <li>Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.</li> <li>Ability to work unsupervised.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong><br /><br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
