Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible for the timer system and placing horses in correct order with the international sound system</li> <li>Work with stewards to place horses</li> <li>Comply with all requirements and requests of the New Mexico Racing Commission</li> <li>Assist as requested in other projects or needs for operations at Zia Park&nbsp;</li> </ul>

Must be at least 18 years of age. <br /> <ul> <li>Must have minimum three year&rsquo;s experience in similar type position or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide necessary knowledge, skills and abilities</li> <li>Must meet licensing requirements of New Mexico Racing Commission</li> <li>Must adhere to all local, state and federal standards, including OSHA requirements</li> <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Able to perform duties in all weather conditions</li> </ul> <br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS <br />Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. Ability to speak and understand Spanish is an asset.<br /> <br />REASONING ABILITY <br />Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.<br /><br /> CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS<br /> <br />Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. <br /><br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
