Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide excellent guest service on paying out jackpots and handling minor slot machine malfunctions. Serve beverages to casino guests in a prompt and friendly manner to ensure their satisfaction by providing excellent service to customers. Assist casino customers by promoting the Mychoice reward program and its benefits through customer sign-ups.</li> <li>Promote and maintain all steps in the customer service program with each patron and employee you may come in contact with - Handle jackpot requests and transactions. - Replenish slot machine printer paper on all slot products.</li> <li>Reset machines and repair minor malfunctions.</li> <li>Count and verify change bank amounts.</li> <li>Take orders and serve non-alcoholic drinks to customers on the casino floor.</li> <li>Assist casino guests by promoting the Mychoice membership and its benefits through new card member signs ups as required.</li> <li>Make phone calls to customers regarding current and future promotions and events.&nbsp;</li> <li>Clean and maintain stations: empty ashtrays, remove trash, remove empty glasses, push in chairs, etc.</li> <li>Ensures that slot machines are filled with ticket paper, so as to keep machines in constant operation.</li> <li>Assist customers with questions and complaints regarding slot machines. Provide answers and explanations, and rectify problems as appropriate.</li> <li>Work on special projects as assigned.</li> <li>Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as property internal controls, policies and procedures</li> <li>Brings disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the shift manager.</li> <li>Must be knowledgeable of all special events and promotional activities available to guests.</li> <li>Presents oneself as a Credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same. - Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.</li> <li>Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and supervisors.</li> <li>Adhere to all departments/company policies and procedures. -</li> <li>erforms all other related and compatible duties as assigned. SUPERViSORY RESPONSiBiLiTiES - This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.</li> <li>Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing &amp; Gaming Commissions.</li> <li>High School diploma or G.E.D preferred.</li> <li>Six months to one year experience in customer service preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work varying schedule to include: all shifts, days and holidays</li> <li>Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of New Mexico gaming laws and regulations as well as the Penn National Gaming&rsquo;s internal controls, policies and procedures.</li> <li>Work in a fast paced environment.</li> <li>Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments. - Ability to work unsupervised.&nbsp;</li> <li>Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 75 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.</li> </ul>
