Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner. increase the revenue of the company by providing excellent service to customers. Sells and cashes winning pari-mutuel tickets for patrons.</li> <li>Greets guests in a timely manner and obtains beverage and/or food orders.</li> <li>Initiates conversation with guests. - Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare beverages.</li> <li>Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.</li> <li>Ensure legal drinking age when unsure for alcoholic beverages.</li> <li>Know drink prices and proper measurement.</li> <li>Know information regarding all Food &amp; Beverage Outlets to have ability to inform guests when they ask.</li> <li>Operate cash register: accept money from customers and count back appropriate change; process Credit card purchases; count and balance money/Credit card purchases, and comps against receipts in register before and after each shift.</li> <li>Sell pari-mutuel tickets to patrons via a hand-held device.</li> <li>Cash pari-mutuel tickets for patrons.</li> <li>Follow cash handling procedures.</li> <li>Order and requisition liquors and supplies.</li> <li>Prepare garnishments.</li> <li>Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display.</li> <li>Pre-bus station regularly.</li> <li>Assist with inventory and inventory control.</li> <li>Complete assigned opening and closing side work.</li> <li>Claim tips received according to laws governing wage reporting.</li> <li>&nbsp;Provides Red Carpet Service to every patron and employee.</li> <li>&nbsp;Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.&nbsp;</li> <li>Adhere to all corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.</li> <li>Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.</li> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.</li> <li>2 to 3 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.</li> <li>Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing Commission.</li> <li>Must qualify for certification through NMAST.</li> <li>Ability to read, write and speak English required.</li> <li>Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.</li> <li>Ability to work unsupervised.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails.</li> <li>Basic math skill is required, ability to handle cash and accurately make change.</li> <li>Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards and work varied shifts, which will include weekends and holidays.</li> <li>Lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
