Overview: We are seeking a talented designer to join our Experience Design team. A successful candidate will influence product strategy, be a collaborative and eager contributor, execute with excellence, and lead product prototyping and UX design work. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team, think holistically about design and change the current grocery landscape. <br /> <br />The Experience Design team has an effective partnership with Product Management and Development teams. We collaborate with engineers, product owners, brand clients and other executives throughout the product development lifecycle. The position requires a customer focus, a data-informed approach, and awareness of current practices for mobile and browser UX design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about design, and able to perform at a high level. <br /><br /> <br /><br />Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Applies user centered design methods to design elegant, simple and intuitive solutions that aligns business goals and user needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Advocates for the customer throughout the product lifecycle.</li> <li>Conducts remote user research to validate concepts and design decisions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborates, coordinates, and influences design peers to deliver a consistent and cohesive user experience across our digital platforms.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Brings a mobile-first mindset with designers and cross functional teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comfortable presenting the work to various audiences and can clearly and passionately articulate the rationale behind design decisions. &nbsp;</li> <li>Takes pride in producing clear deliverables including flows, wireframes, visual design, front end annotations. &nbsp;</li> <li>Documents expected transitions, animations and micro-interactions through prototypes as needed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Delivers final designs adhering to brand standards, WCAG 2.0, and internal design system.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Works with scrum teams to execute on the work, help resolve unexpected challenges, and to ensure designs are implemented as intended. &nbsp;</li> <li>Advocates for continuous improvements to the customer experience by considering market analysis, customer feedback, usage analytics, stakeholder input, and design research insights.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least 3 years of experience in an ecommerce or digital agency as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient using design and prototyping tools such as Figma.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience conducting remote user research to validate concepts and conduct usability testing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience working in an agile environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience working with design research, interpreting findings and acting on those results.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with ecommerce and transactional experiences.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Navigates constraints and complexity while maintaining composure, pushing back diplomatically, applying the right UX methods and rigor accordingly and asks for help and direction when needed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Thinks deeply to understand the problem space and is curious to rapidly explore potential solutions that aligns with customer needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Constantly explores ways to improve the way our products work AND look.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>A collaborative spirit who enjoys working closely with colleagues in design, research, product management and engineering.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Builds partnerships across teams.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Organized, driven and excited about designing the future of online grocery.&nbsp;</li> <li>Seeks data and leverages research to uncover user needs, inform ideation, and validate design decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Effective at working in all phases of design from research, ideation, execution, and optimization.&nbsp;</li> <li>Is energized by problem-solving and loves to develop practical solutions for difficult problems. &nbsp;</li> <li>Is attuned to emerging design trends, methods, and patterns.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comfortable designing experiences for mobile web and mobile app touchpoints.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Anticipates technical considerations when designing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Has a track record of producing business results through design.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>A portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UX/UI best practices.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br />
