Overview: <p>We are seeking a proven design leader to join our Experience Design team. A successful candidate will influence product strategy, be a design leader within the team, drive collaboration, and lead UX strategy across their area. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team, think holistically about design and change the current grocery landscape.</p> <p>The Experience Design team has an effective partnership with Product Management and Development teams. We collaborate with engineers, product owners, brand clients and executives throughout the product development lifecycle. The position requires a customer focus, a data-informed approach, and knowledge of current practices for mobile and browser UX design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about design, and able to perform at a high level with minimal direction.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Aligns business goals and user needs through design strategy and elegant, simple, and intuitive designs</li> <li>Strong advocate for the customer throughout the product lifecycle</li> <li>Collaborates, coordinates, and influences design colleagues to deliver a cohesive and consistent user experience across our digital platforms</li> <li>Brings a mobile-first mindset with stakeholders and cross functional teams</li> <li>Effectively presents the work to various audiences and can clearly and passionately articulate rationale behind design decisions. Knows the appropriate level of detail to speak to for the audience (presenting to business stakeholders &amp; executives vs. design teams or developers).</li> <li>Delivers wireframes, flows, high fidelity comps, and front-end annotations. Documents expected transitions, animations, and micro-interactions through prototypes as needed.</li> <li>Delivers final designs adhering to brand standards, WCAG 2.0, and internal design system</li> <li>Works with scrum teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended.</li> <li>Champions ongoing improvements by considering market analysis, customer feedback, usage analytics, stakeholder input, and design research finding</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least 7+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role</li> <li>Experience working with or conducting your own research, presenting results and acting on those results</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience</li> </ul> <br />Preferred Qualifications <br /> <ul> <li>Navigates constraints and complexity with autonomy while maintaining composure, pushing back diplomatically, and applying the right UX methods and rigor accordingly</li> <li>Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to unpack the problem space</li> <li>Rapidly explores potential solutions</li> <li>Finds effective ways to improve the way our products work AND look</li> <li>Effective at collaborating closely with colleagues in design, research, product management and engineering</li> <li>Organized, driven and excited about designing the future of online grocery</li> <li>Seeks data and effectively leverages research to uncover user needs, inform ideation, and validate design decisions</li> <li>Excels in working through all phases of design from research through ideation, wireframing, visual design and prototyping</li> <li>Is energized by problem-solving, overcoming complex challenges and loves to develop solutions for difficult problems.</li> <li>Stays on top of emerging design trends, methods, and patterns</li> <li>A proven track record of producing outstanding business results through design</li> <li>A strong portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UX/UI best practices</li> <li>Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently</li> <li>Anticipates technical considerations when designing</li> <li>Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Figma and Sketch</li> <li>Experience with online ecommerce and transactional experiences</li> <li>Experience designing for native mobile apps</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <br />
