Overview: The Manager of Aviation Maintenance ensures safe and efficient operation of the ADUSA Aviation department aircraft fleet by managing all maintenance operations. They oversee maintenance technicians, ensure compliance with industry standards, manage budgets, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Working closely with other aviation professionals, the Manager aligns maintenance operations with the organization's goals, performs required inspections and maintenance tasks, and reduces downtime and costs. This role is critical to maintaining the safety and reliability of the corporate aircraft fleet and ensuring smooth business travel.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><em>Ensuring Compliance:</em>&nbsp;The Manager of Maintenance ensures compliance with all governing regulations (FAA, federal, state and local), standards, and policies by staying updated, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions. Compliance minimizes accidents, injuries, and legal liabilities.</li> <li><em>Managing the Team:</em>&nbsp;Overseeing maintenance technicians, the Manager manages schedules, provides training, and ensures tools and resources are available. The Manager also ensures the team's credentials, skillsets, and work meets standards, and coordinates with the Director of Aviation on personnel matters. &nbsp;</li> <li><em>Budget Management:</em>&nbsp;Managing the maintenance budget involves identifying savings, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective operations. This improves financial performance by reducing costs.</li> <li><em>Maintaining Records:</em>&nbsp;Responsible for accurate records, the Manager keeps logs, tracks schedules, and ensures inspections. Accurate records enable compliance, historical reference, and effective planning.</li> <li><em>Coordinating Maintenance Needs:</em>&nbsp;Collaboration with scheduling, flight operations and outside maintenance providers to align on maintenance with organizational goals, minimizes conflicts, and miscommunication risks.</li> <li><em>Continuous Improvement:</em>&nbsp;Identifying and implementing changes for efficiency, cost reduction, and safety improvement to enhance overall maintenance operations.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>Vendor Relationships:</em>&nbsp;Maintaining vendor relationships through contracts and performance monitoring ensures high-quality maintenance, reducing equipment failures and legal risks.</li> <li><em>Managing Projects:&nbsp;</em>Handling maintenance projects includes planning, resource allocation, and timely completion, minimizing downtime and enhancing aircraft availability.</li> <li><em>Emergency Response:</em>&nbsp;In emergencies, the Manager in accordance with the emergency response plan (ERP) coordinates with other stakeholders, and aviation professionals, protecting maintenance records, and ensuring effective response plans.</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate degree or equivalent FAR Part 91 maintenance leadership required. &nbsp;</li> <li>FAA Airframe &amp; Power Plant (A&amp;P) license.</li> <li>7+ years of aircraft maintenance experience as an Airframe and Power Plant (A&amp;P) technician required, with experience working in a corporate aviation environment preferred.</li> <li>3+ years of maintenance leadership experience.</li> <li>Familiarity with FAA FAR Part 91 operations.</li> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li> <li>Broad knowledge of the maintenance of corporate aircraft, aircraft systems and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Strong aircraft systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Capable of managing the resolution of simultaneous, multiple, complex issues across multiple aircraft.</li> <li>Excellent project management and supervisory skills.</li> <li>Well-developed understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.</li> <li>Well-developed relationships with vendors and OEMs.</li> <li>Experience in managing budgets.&nbsp;</li> <li>Well-developed skills in developing peer-to-peer relationships.</li> <li>Ability to lead and manage effectively at the executive level.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</li> <li>Inspection Authorization (I/A).</li> <li>Master Technician certification.</li> <li>Completion of aircraft manufacturer&rsquo;s approved initial training program.</li> </ul>
