Overview: The Regulatory Coordinator works collaboratively with Regulatory Specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance of regulatory label content, claims and 3rd party logos for label design of Private Brands products. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving the label specification within the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification system for internal record-keeping requirements and to collect, validate, and manage compliance documentation database within the specification system to substantiate on-package claims and 3rd party logos. This position generates the pack copy from the specification system and submits the required information to the design team to use on label artwork.&nbsp;Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment.<br /><br /><strong>Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Carlisle, PA and Scarborough, ME.</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collect and validate legal product information submitted by suppliers into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification system to comply with current U.S. labeling regulations, 3<sup>rd</sup>&nbsp;party certification requirements and Private Brands standards.</li> <li>Review, validate and approve regulatory label content and compliance documentation (i.e., supplier affidavits, 3<sup>rd</sup>&nbsp;party certificates, product lab test results) uploaded by suppliers into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification system for record-keeping and to substantiate on-package claims.</li> <li>Generate the pack copy from the PB Product and Packaging Specification system to send label content to design to use on the label artwork PDF.</li> <li>Manage compliance documentation database for claims and 3rd party logos including allergen claims, gluten free claims, comparison claims, Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO Certified, Certified Vegan, and other 3<sup>rd</sup>&nbsp;party certifying agencies for both food and nonfood Private Brands products.</li> <li>Communicate regulatory requirements needed for Private Brands label specifications and internal record-keeping.</li> <li>Collaborate with Category Development teams to align on label content including product names, claims, and 3<sup>rd</sup>&nbsp;party logos.</li> <li>Work with the Product Excellence Team to ensure the information submitted for label content in product specifications align with the product approved at benchtop and vetted according to the Private Brands Supplier Requirements Guide.</li> <li>Keep up to date with information required to appear on packaging per USDA, FDA, FTC, and State level laws.</li> <li>Support Regulatory Team as subject matter experts on label regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Knowledge:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic Knowledge of product and food labeling (USDA, FDA, FTC, State).</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and prioritization skills.</li> <li>Project Management skills.</li> <li>Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task.</li> <li>Strong verbal &amp; grammar skills.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's of Science Food &amp; Nutrition, Food Science or related field or equivalent job experience.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in labeling regulatory or related industry.</li> <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment.</li> </ul>
