As a UX/UI Designer, you'll draw on your expertise in research, design thinking, service design, information architecture, interaction design and visual design to enhance holistic experiences across a portfolio of enterprise products and services.<br /><br />People will be at the center of your everyday work. By engaging with users and collaborating closely with stakeholders, your ability to listen, empathize, and advocate for their needs will be the driving force behind satisfying end-user experiences.<br /> <br />In this role, you'll embark on a journey of discovery, framing problems with your creative and analytical thinking. You'll utilize research, data, and industry best practices to make strategic design decisions. You will deeply understand and champion the needs of our end users - people.<br /><br />If you're a born detective with design chops for days, a storyteller, an end-to-end thinker, a problem-solver who can untangle complexity to create something that works, then we can't wait to meet you.<br /><br />Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.<br /><br />Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Research &amp; Insights: Bringing a point of view on data collection methods and framing of insights in order to identify problems and validate solutions through research</li> <li>User Experience Design: Leveraging user-centric methods to effectively orient underlying models with end-user needs</li> <li>User Interface Design: Illustrating your ideas and understanding of foundational principles of design at an application level through prototyping, interaction design, and compelling visual design</li> <li>Domain Expertise: Deepening your expertise about the end users you support, Product fundamentals, the technology landscape at ADUSA, and the business of grocery retail</li> <li>Process Leadership: Collaborating with cross-functional peers on the process and approach for identifying end-user needs and solving problems with new and defined tactics from ADUSA Research &amp; Design toolkit</li> <li>People Proficiency: Promoting R&amp;D team culture, earning trust with your internal network, developing your influence in group settings, and beginning to support recruiting and onboarding as our practice continues to grow.</li> <li>Portfolio Execution: Driving your projects, asking for direction as needed to define approach, adhere to design standards, achieve intended outcomes and exhibit team values.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>You have a Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design or relevant field; equivalent certifications from an accredited program in UX/UI, human-computer interaction, information science, digital media, product design, or on-the-job experience will be considered.</li> <li>You are a staff designer with 3 or more years of relevant work experience with UX/UI design</li> <li>You facilitate workshops and have a knack for gaining consensus among large, diverse groups.</li> <li>You more than know your way around collaborative design and prototyping tools, such as Mural, Miro, Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.</li> <li>You have (and can't wait to share) in-depth knowledge of design research methods, user interface models, application design and website functionality.</li> <li>You've tamed the Format Pane in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and know which tool is best when sharing ideas with different groups.</li> <li>You know enough about front-end languages (like HTML), computer information systems, data analysis fundamentals and data visualization tools (like Power BI) to hold up your end of a conversation with engineers and analysts.</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</strong><br /> <ul> <li>You're insatiably curious, positively resilient, intentionally inclusive, and unapologetically creative.
