Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br /><br /><br />The Payments Engineering Manager role at Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) will function as a key contributor to the Retail Platform of ADUSA, as part of the core Technology team. <br /><br />This role will work across multiple value streams within Digital Technology, taking 360-degree ownership of payment products - across customer facing capabilities, and backend payment gateway, processing, billing, fraud, and collections realm. This will include many crucial capabilities - such as launching a new payment platform, which includes existing payment methods and adding new ones in future. Additionally, leading roadmap for capabilities such as linking payments with loyalty and savings programs, improving backend payments platform to more scalable and flexible tech, driving longer term ambitions to make payments frictionless and seamless, enabling cobrand payment cards etc. <br /><br />This role will work with architects and to help design commercially viable solutions and transition plans that lead to a highly flexible, scalable, and robust IT landscape. <br /><br /> You are an experienced technologist, conceptual thinker, great communicator, and influencer, and can build strong partnerships with our business, product, development, operations and security teams. <br /><br />Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days in our Chicago office and 2 remote days.<br /><br />Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage customer-facing and internal payments strategy and roadmap.</li> <li>Manage third party vendor relationships, identifying necessary and/or desirable features and oversee platform integrations.</li> <li>Collaborate with the business intelligence, user experience and product engineering teams to assess value, usability, and feasibility of features.</li> <li>Engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure all product needs are captured.</li> <li>Support the development and production of promotions and offers for current and potential customers.</li> <li>Specify, prioritize, and communicate high level and detailed specifications using written requirements, flows and use cases UX-generated deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes and design and copy documents.</li> <li>Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that billing and payments features work as designed and that processes dependent on the feature successfully complete acceptance testing.</li> <li>Focus on testing and optimization of the payment experience.</li> <li>Manage the development of training materials and train quality assurance, technical support, and others on new product features.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A technical manager with 10+ years of experience with hands on development skills</li> <li>Broad and deep experience in payment-related technologies and providers, including payment gateways, payment orchestration, tokenization, wallets, POS solutions, eCommerce platforms, fraud &amp; risk solutions, etc. Sound understanding of how these solutions plug into a broader omni-channel digital &amp; eCommerce IT landscape.</li> <li>Master in core technologies: Java, Spring, RESTful API, messaging frameworks, container-based development (Docker), Elastic Search, Relational Database (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (Azure Cosmos DB or Cassandra) and event driven architecture solutions such as Kafka.</li> <li>Experience in designing, developing, and implementing the complex projects using Azure Cloud computing technologies - Azure AKS, APIM, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Redis, Istio, and Azure AD</li> <li>Experience in implementing Microservices Architecture and building / deploying highly automated, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure.</li> <li>Expert in modernizing legacy applications to modern technologies in Azure cloud</li> <li>Experience in crafting a sophisticated network of microservices which can handle high TPS (transactions per second) traffic with low latency. This experience is essential as we embark on implementing transaction processing microservices, which can process millions of transactions daily, in a highly efficient manner.</li> <li>Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)</li> <li>Azure Solution Architect/Developer Certification is preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> Preferred Qualifications <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent.</li> <li>Capable of navigating across a sophisticated and rapidly changing landscape by staying on top of the latest trends</li> <li>Creator, a doer, and a disruptor who will help us seek solutions to problems and meet customer needs. You will be helping us build completely new capabilities, taking an idea and crafting rapid prototypes while learning from real-time feedback.</li> <li>Able to foster efficient communication in a team environment.</li> <li>Experience with Jira and Agile development methodology</li> <li>Strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in substantial discussions with partners across business roles and skillsets.</li> <li>Preferred to have grocery industry experience.</li> </ul> Salary Range: $131,520 - $204,240
