Overview: As the&nbsp;<strong>Manager, E-Commerce Network Strategy</strong>, you will help drive e-commerce performance and enable our grocery brands to predict and respond to our customers' evolving e-commerce needs across 19 states, 2000+ stores, and 20+ e-commerce fulfillment facilities. You'll be part of the department that partners with our brands to set the strategy for e-commerce fulfillment, and a major player on the team that establishes the e-commerce network design, supports tactical and strategic planning, drives the three-year e-commerce market outlook, and delivers actionable insights to support significant business decisions for our five multi-billion dollar grocery brands.<br /><br />Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. The core location for this role includes Chicago, IL.<br /><br />Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities: You'll use your strategic mindset, data acumen, and bias towards action to develop and deliver strategic insights that drive decisions and enable growth. You'll partner across teams and functions to develop recommendations to optimize capacity, calibrate the fulfillment network, maximize sales capture, and manage costs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on our projects and business needs, but will include the following:<br /><br /> <ul> <li><strong>Enabling&nbsp;</strong>the e-commerce network strategy team to answer juicy and ambiguous business questions such as, "What does the e-commerce market look like in 2030?" and "What's the capital investment needed to expand our e-commerce reach to rural customers?"</li> <li><strong>Generating&nbsp;</strong>actionable insights, strategic inputs, and strategic frameworks to address brand, leadership, and cross-functional questions and support strategic decision-making</li> <li><strong>Collaborating&nbsp;</strong>with brand partners, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate high-level direction, strategic questions, and overall strategy to a modeling and analysis approach</li> <li><strong>Modeling&nbsp;</strong>various what-if scenarios within the team's propriety network, capacity, and demand modeling tools, and synthesizing outputs to generate brand and executive recommendations</li> <li><strong>Analyzing&nbsp;</strong>company data, external data, and modeling outputs to identify trends, gaps, and anomalies and produce data-driven insights</li> <li><strong>Presenting&nbsp;</strong>strategic recommendations, modeling outputs, and analysis results to executive leadership and brand partners to gain buy-in and develop long-term and near-term plans</li> <li><strong>Driving&nbsp;</strong>continuous improvement and supporting the future of our team by standing up internal initiatives, fostering the development of other team members, budgeting and estimating effort, defining processes and solution enhancements, and developing internal artifacts and templates</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><strong>Work Experience&nbsp;</strong>(5+ years) in consulting, strategy, network optimization, analytics, and/or supply chain optimization.</li> <li><strong>Degree or Equivalent Experience&nbsp;</strong>in Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or similar field</li> <li><strong>Core Competencies&nbsp;</strong>in analyzing data, developing strategic narratives, managing projects, presenting to leadership, building relationships, and articulating complex concepts to executives and cross-functional teams</li> <li><strong>Presentation Skills&nbsp;</strong>with demonstrated success in bringing data and modeling insights to life and generating stakeholder buy-in through storytelling, strategic framework development, and advanced analysis</li> <li><strong>Relationship Skills&nbsp;</strong>, with the ability to forge trust and maintain ongoing communication with brand partners and cross-functional colleagues</li> <li><strong>Analytical Skills&nbsp;</strong>with the ability to work with large data sets, structure analyses, dig into data at different levels of detail (micro and macro level), and identify trends, gaps, and anomalies with strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI (or equivalent)</li> <li><strong>Software Experience&nbsp;</strong>in optimization products and platforms such as AIMMS, CPLEX, Gurobi, FICO Mosel Xpress, Llamasoft, IBM LogicNetPlus, Blue Yonder Supply Chain Strategist, SAP APO, or equivalent (preferred but not required)</li> <li><strong>Background in&nbsp;</strong>retail (e-commerce ideal!) or CPG supply chain, analytics, or strategy, ideally with exposure to network optimization and design, strategic planning, and/or tactical planning</li> </ul> You are...<br /> <ul> <li>Self-motivated and an independent thinker with a bias toward action and ownership</li> <li>Energized by ideating and analyzing data to solve ambiguous business problems</li> <li>A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others and rolling up your sleeves to figure things out</li> <li>A stellar presenter who can distill complex concepts into strategic narratives, can frame and position analysis for a variety of audiences, and is comfortable with presenting across levels</li> <li>A bridge-builder who easily generates buy-in, manages stakeholders, and develops and maintains relationships across levels and teams</li> <li>Able to self-manage competing priorities and work with minimal oversight</li> <li>Able to manage major initiatives and herd the cats</li> <li>Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive</li> <li>A strong communicator (both oral and written) who can influence without authority</li> <li>Passionate about process improvement, documentation, and standardization</li> </ul> <br />IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $120,960 - $187,800
