Overview: The Channel Development Manager - Pick from Store role will function as the subject matter expert for e-commerce fulfillment systems, tools, processes and equipment used in the various fulfillment channels. This role will support the lead for their fulfillment channel (Pick From Store) in functioning as the product owner of their channel, supporting the development of improvements to the channel that will drive productivity, capacity, order quality or CVP. They will work on business improvement through stand-alone projects and/or individual elements of their channel focused on broadening capabilities that meet ADUSA brand's fulfillment requirements.<br /><br />Channel development will be focused on meeting growing customer demand and ever-evolving customer expectations across all brands through bringing a continuous improvement approach to enhancing channel capabilities. Simultaneously, systems and processes within the channel should be optimized such that fulfillment execution will be the most efficient and productive as it can be while adhering to CVP expectations.<br /><br />This role will support the development of a strategic vision for their channel aligned with the ADUSA omni-channel strategy, sourcing input from counterparts within the brands on individual projects or topics relevant to the channel. They are responsible for communicating about those topics to the different cross functional stakeholders. They will support developing a roadmap for prioritization, development and implementation of proposed improvements of IT systems, processes, practices, etc. relevant to the projects or topics inside the channel that they carry responsibility for. They will work closely with counterparts within Product and Tech to ensure the right requirements go into development processes and will continue to partner throughout the development cycle to ensure the right direction is taken.<br /><br />They will work with their counterparts in Implementation &amp; Integration to ensure that team is appropriately equipped to successfully implement the changes. They will support influencing and driving change across all brands, and the different aspects of the brand operations that the channel will be integrated with (e.g. Store Operations, Supply Chain, Last Mile).<br /><br />Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Mauldin, SC, Carlisle, PA, Hyattsville, MD, Scarborough, ME and Quincy, MA.<br /><br />Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand e-commerce, Retail Operations, Consumer Insights, Product, Tech, etc.) to translate Customer Value Proposition and efficiency drivers into business needs and proposed improvements.</li> <li>Support the development of an appropriately prioritized roadmap for development and implementation, and support the alignment with IT business systems appropriately.</li> <li>Work with development teams and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for system development cycles for specific topics or projects within the channel.</li> <li>Work with cross-functional teams within the ADUSA brands to acquire input into desired changes and discuss possible approaches and solutions.</li> <li>Aid the development of appropriately detailed specifications for system requirements so that they are clearly understood by IT development teams, by leveraging IT Business Systems Product Owners.</li> <li>Collaborate with the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions.</li> <li>Act as an ambassador for the channel internally and as a contact for queries related to specific topics or projects within the channel.</li> <li>Deliver key messages to stakeholders on project deploys and escalate issues accordingly.</li> <li>Interpret and adhere to standard legal, compliance, and business rules during program design and development.</li> <li>Take the initiative to keep both own skills up to date and to maintain an awareness of developments in the retail and IT industry.</li> <li>Role model partnership behaviors, build cross-functional connections, develop industry-leading expertise, put development front and center, and foster a culture of belonging.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Continuous Improvement or Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related fields.</li> <li>8+ years of relevant experience.</li> <li>Project management experience.</li> <li>Track record of successful delivery of projects.</li> <li>Good verbal and written communicator, bridge builder.</li> <li>Conceptual thinker.</li> <li>Process-oriented.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Master's Degree.</li> <li>Hands-on knowledge of store/e-commerce fulfillment processes and systems, and an understanding of "the day in the life of..."</li> <li>Experience in a customer-facing business environment.</li> <li>Intimate knowledge of store and/or e-commerce fulfillment operations.</li> <li>Financial understanding of retail P&amp;Ls.</li> <li>Experience with the development of IT systems and system enhancements.</li> <li>Managing resistance to change.</li> <li>Influencing leadership at the strategic and executive level.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Salary Range: $92,640.00 | $115,800.00 |&nbsp;$138,960.00
