This position involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor management practices. This role is responsible for developing &amp; maintaining positive vendor relationships, resolving vendor issues, monitoring vendor performance, and implementing vendor management strategies.&nbsp;<br /><br /><strong>Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.&nbsp; Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME,</strong><br /><br /><strong>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment</strong><br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Act as a primary point of contact for vendors, researching &amp; resolving all inquiries and concerns&nbsp;</li> <li>Facilitate communication between internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration&nbsp;</li> <li>Regularly assess vendor performance and provide feedback to both vendors and internal stakeholders.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist in negotiations and contract renewals with vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor vendor compliance with established policies, regulations, and service level agreements (SLAs).&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist in conducting vendor audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Gather and analyze vendor performance data, prepare reports for management and relevant teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of vendor management initiatives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Analyze data insights to identify areas of improvement and recommend appropriate action plans.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of vendor management processes and workflows.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall vendor performance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with various internal departments such as Category, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance to align vendor management strategies with broader organizational goals.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate in vendor-related meetings, providing valuable insights and updates.&nbsp;</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent professional work experience&nbsp;</li> <li>3-5 years previous experience in vendor management, procurement, or a similar role&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of End to End (E2E) Procure to Pay (P2P) ecosystem with the ability to apply principles and standards&nbsp;</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of vendor management strategies and grocery industry P2P practices&nbsp;</li> <li>Understands theoretical professional concepts and can identify the root cause(s) of issues within the vendor management P2P framework&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated conflict management skills and enhanced knowledge of retail grocery industry and suppliers&nbsp;</li> <li>Change and transformation capabilities using sound judgment and risk mitigation techniques&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations based on interpretation of quantitative analysis&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with Macros and Databases&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong interpersonal &amp; relationship management skills for building, fostering, and maintaining positive and strong professional relationships with vendors and internal business partners.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills to optimize ADUSA business reputation.&nbsp;</li> <li>Detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency in using various software tools, including MS Office suite and vendor management platforms.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong oral &amp; written communication &amp; presentation skills with keen ability to influence others toward a common goal.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work well in a team-oriented environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Extensive problem-solving capabilities with an end-to-end process mindset&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.&nbsp;</li> <li>May require travel &ndash; typically 10-15%&nbsp;</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Accounting knowledge (Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.)&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in grocery retail/category management&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with both DA (Delhaize) and AUSA (Ahold) existing systems and processes&nbsp;</li> </ul>
