Overview: Responsible for supervising the Logistics Analyst role(s). Responsible for a Pod(s), which collates to a department or region, which will include 3rd party associates. The Team Leader will be assigned specific ownership for systems, SOP's/processes, accounting tasks, reporting, contract management, or international freight compliance. This position has shared ownership in their Pod(s) for Fleet for hire implementation, vendor allowance negotiations, optimization/overlays, carrier relationships, and implementation support (analytics, new business, and network optimization).<br /><br /><strong>Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage operational interaction with the brands and support strategic goals</li> <li>Supervisory responsibilities for Logistics Analyst and other Pod members</li> <li>Implementation/execution of Alternative Product flow and/or projects feeding in from Supply Chain Analytics and Network Optimization</li> <li>Optimize inbound freight and overlays creating maximum efficiency</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing all inbound shipments</li> <li>Responsible for preparing statistical data for contract negotiations and participating in those negotiations</li> <li>Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting and analysis of all traffic</li> <li>Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution</li> <li>Manage carrier relationships; new carriers, Alternative Product flow partners, and International 3PL</li> <li>Communicate with and monitor service providers such as ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, owner operators, and trucking companies</li> <li>Manage systems to ensure that pricing structures adequately reflect logistics costing</li> <li>Provide ongoing analysis in areas such as transportation costs, procurement, and the distribution delivery process</li> <li>Manage, communicate, and resolve operational, process and systems issues to maintain customer satisfaction</li> <li>Lead cross functional support teams, project management, and presentations to leadership</li> <li>Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, and frequency</li> <li>Negotiate allowances/rates with Suppliers and carriers to improve supply chain efficiency</li> <li>Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business owners, systems, or process enabling DA to create efficiencies and reduce costs</li> <li>Assist in the hiring of new associates, vendors, and Logistics Solutions Providers</li> <li>Assist in on boarding and training of new associates, vendors, and Logistics Solutions Providers</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.</li> <li>5 - 8 years combined experience in in Supply Chain, Procurement/Merchandising, and/or Distribution/Manufacturing operations.</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office with strong focus In Excel, Access, and PowerPoint or related software</li> <li>Cross-functional leadership experience</li> <li>Collaboration experience with vendors, transportation providers, &amp; third party consultants</li> <li>Seasoned level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices</li> <li>Seasoned knowledge of supply chain systems, warehouse management systems, replenishment methodology, and industrial engineering methods/techniques.</li> <li>Seasoned knowledge of the trucking industry, distribution, replenishment, category management functions</li> <li>Demonstrate a personal acceptance of change and the ability to adapt and drive change</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to implement and analyze retail business using consumer insights and analyzing trends.</li> <li>Active listener with an ability to build trust across varying levels of the organization</li> <li>High degree of credibility and the ability to work with and through all levels of management</li> <li>Excellent organizational, planning, influence, communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Self-motivated and persuasive in presenting and selling ideas and executing their implementation</li> <li>Ability to manage day to day activity in support of identified business area and functional area strategies</li> <li>Ability to influence organizational alignment across multiple business areas</li> <li>Ability to take an educated risk with implementing programs that support consumer demands.</li> <li>Ability to think innovatively</li> <li>Requires travel - typically 10%</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics or business related field</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Supervisory experience</li> </ul> <br />IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $125,200 - $187,800
