Overview: The Utilities Analyst will be responsible for the processing and maintaining of utility documents in tracking data and overseeing billing payment and monitoring balances of utility accounts for all ADUSA locations, totaling over $500M+ (including electricity, natural gas, propane, water and sewer). <br /><br />Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days in our Salisbury, NC core and 2 remote days.<br /><br />Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Establish and maintain data management and analytical approaches to generate utility data insights that supports decision making to drive costs down across all Brands, including providing documentation for Brand discussion.&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct analysis to assess rate change impacts to profit &amp; loss statement determining necessary actions required and identifying additional cost reduction opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible for developing and maintaining the analysis of utility rate filings to determine potential impact to Operations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Review filings utility companies submit with public utility commissions to identify requested changes to the established rate base and rates for service.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible for monitoring public utility commissions for changes in regulatory policies and procedures that could impact operations, including assisting with the design of peak reduction programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work with third party utility payment provides to review, audit, and reconcile utility invoices, including the correction of discrepancies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and present monthly/quarterly/yearly utility variance expense reports to Company and Brand leadership to highlight trends and identify potential issues related to the impact of certain market and operational conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Research and prepare responses to Brands&rsquo; questions on monthly profit &amp; loss reports.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Analyzes utilities and creates benchmarking among like properties across all ADUSA locations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensuring understanding of current utility industry activities, as it relates to rates, metering, and billing, through on-going education and participation in utility/energy associations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Business, or related field</li> <li>3+ years' experience with utility analysis &amp; invoice processing</li> <li>Strong Analytical and Communication Skills</li> <li>Detail oriented including the ability to manage priorities and workflow on multiple projects simultaneously</li> <li>Previous retail experience preferred</li> <li>Professionalism and excellent interpersonal and relationship skills </li> </ul>
