Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br /><br />The Vendor Support &amp; Relationship Management Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the vendor management team within the VMO. This position involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor management practices. This role is responsible for developing &amp; maintaining positive vendor relationships, resolving vendor issues, monitoring vendor performance, and implementing vendor management strategies. <br /><br /><strong><strong>Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME,<br /><br /></strong>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Act as a primary point of contact for vendors, researching &amp; resolving all inquiries and concerns</li> <li>Facilitate communication between internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration</li> <li>Regularly assess vendor performance and provide feedback to both vendors and internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Assist in negotiations and contract renewals with vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.</li> <li>Monitor vendor compliance with established policies, regulations, and service level agreements (SLAs).</li> <li>Assist in conducting vendor audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.</li> <li>Gather and analyze vendor performance data, prepare reports for management and relevant teams.</li> <li>Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of vendor management initiatives.</li> <li>Analyze data insights to identify areas of improvement and recommend appropriate action plans.</li> <li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of vendor management processes and workflows.</li> <li>Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall vendor performance.</li> <li>Work closely with various internal departments such as Category, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance to align vendor management strategies with broader organizational goals.</li> <li>Participate in vendor-related meetings, providing valuable insights and updates.</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent professional work experience</li> <li>3-5 years previous experience in vendor management, procurement, or a similar role</li> <li>Understanding of End to End (E2E) Procure to Pay (P2P) ecosystem with the ability to apply principles and standards</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of vendor management strategies and grocery industry P2P practices</li> <li>Understands theoretical professional concepts and can identify the root cause(s) of issues within the vendor management P2P framework</li> <li>Demonstrated conflict management skills and enhanced knowledge of retail grocery industry and suppliers</li> <li>Change and transformation capabilities using sound judgment and risk mitigation techniques</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations based on interpretation of quantitative analysis</li> <li>Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with Macros and Databases</li> <li>Strong interpersonal &amp; relationship management skills for building, fostering, and maintaining positive and strong professional relationships with vendors and internal business partners.</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills to optimize ADUSA business reputation.</li> <li>Detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.</li> <li>Proficiency in using various software tools, including MS Office suite and vendor management platforms.</li> <li>Strong oral &amp; written communication &amp; presentation skills with keen ability to influence others toward a common goal.</li> <li>Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work well in a team-oriented environment.</li> <li>Extensive problem-solving capabilities with an end-to-end process mindset</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.</li> <li>May require travel - typically 10-15%</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications:<br /> <ul> <li>Accounting knowledge (Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.)</li> <li>Experience in grocery retail/category management</li> <li>Familiarity with both DA (Delhaize) and AUSA (Ahold) existing systems and processes </li> </ul>
