Overview: The Healthy Communities and Planet (HC&amp;P) Sustainable Products team is responsible for the environmental and social aspects of the 300,000 products the great local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) offer. Climate (Scope 3), plastics and packaging, animal welfare, sustainable seafood, nature, regenerative agriculture, and human rights are key areas of focus for the team.<br /><br />We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, action-driven, and collaborative team orientated individual who wants to work in an entrepreneurial environment to leverage data, internal engagement, and cross-sector collaboration to develop and execute high-value strategic initiatives, partnerships, and our overall US and Group-wide corporate sustainability agenda.<br /><br /><strong>Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD. </strong><br /><br /><strong>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.</strong>
Responsibilities: <br /><br />As a member of the Healthy Community & Planet Sustainable Products team, an Analyst III works with the broader Sustainability team, AD Group, ADUSA brand teams, and other stakeholders to:<br /><ul><li>Support the development and implementation of various sustainability initiatives related to product which could include ADUSA's Scope 3 reduction roadmap, nature goals, plastics and packaging commitments, human rights policy, and animal welfare targets, including target setting, data gathering/analysis, progress tracking, strategy development, supplier engagement, and program implementation.</li><li>Provide strategic recommendations for ADUSA brands, often developing supporting analytics for presentations and working with brands to navigate the marketplace in meeting targets.</li><li>Participate in team discussions and share analysis, viewpoints, and rationale in the development and implementation of sustainable products programs.</li><li>Build and manage analytical tools to provide greater business insights and increase the efficiency of data capture, cleanse, and reporting.</li><li>Cross-functionally help shape successful business plans and strategic decisions through the assessment of each brand's current performance and intervention opportunities.</li><li>Provide ad hoc analyses, information, and presentations to help support various aspects sustainable product sourcing and annual strategic planning, often in partnership ADUSA brands, leadership, and third parties.</li><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional departments on high-value initiatives and strategies, creating business cases, financial models, and key analytics in support of critical work (e.g., market scans, growth strategies, internal performance analyses, supplier reported data).</li><li>Create presentations and briefing documents to help drive work forward and gain alignment on critical issues which often will require the art of storytelling.</li><li>Participate in, and support, ADUSA's engagement in multi-stakeholder initiatives that drive industry-wide change. </li></ul><br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required</li> <li>At least 5 years of corporate strategy, sustainability, process execution in grocery retail industry and/or consulting industry preferred</li> <li>Ability to understand new concepts quickly and work in a fast paced dynamic work environment</li> <li>Proven ability to drive organization change based on analysis and recommendations, possessing the ability to quickly analyze data, draw and present conclusions with actionalble steps and measure final outcome</li> <li>Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives and third parties</li> <li>Ability to work within tight timelines, deadlines and on multiple projects</li> <li>Works well independently with minimal supervision when required</li> <li>Comfortable with ambiguity and project-based work, able to bring focus and structure to unique, high-value problems</li> <li>Creative, structured, and objective problem solver, both conceptually and analytically</li> <li>Collaborative and people-oriented, and comfortable leading without authority</li> <li>Dynamic, clear thinker and presenter who can work well with all levels of an organization, including with executives</li> <li>Ready to work hard in a fun environment to create tangible change</li> <li>Strong sustainability, financial, and business acumen</li> <li>Comfort with Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Experience managing databases</li> <li>Presentation and communication best practices</li> </ul> <br />Preferred Qualifications<br /> <ul> <li>Master in Sustainability, Business Administration or Data Analytics preferred</li> </ul> ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560 <br />IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $86,320 - $129,480 <br />
